Ladyjewels, Fluff's right. How can she, or anyone else, help if we can't see what you're selling?

I'm going to give the .99 listings a try with my old inventory. That is, if I ever get around to going through it all! I pass by this stuff everyday and know I need to do something with it. . .like the box of old Christmas ornaments that I should have listed at Christmas time, or the box of old buttons that belonged to my great-great aunt. I just don't feel like going through all the stuff right now.

Clothing is a whole other ballgame. I sell it sometimes and it can be a royal PIA! No matter how many measurements you take of something, the potential for a bad sale is always there. I have a closet full of outfits I wore maybe once or twice. I know I should get rid of them and maybe someday I will. I look around at all the "stuff" here and I will dread the day I ever have to move to a new house!!

I'm with you, Cheryl.

Hopefully, this stuff will get moving if I start it at $0.99 and keep my shipping where it's always been. As I commented before, I don't care about the packing materials, they were paid for long ago.

Same with the inventory. An example is a whole dresser full of miscellaneous jewelry. Some old, some not so old.

I paid $100 for ALL the jewelry at an estate sale. I've sold quite a bit of it - one branch coral necklace went for $132, a small lot of gold rings and such for $260.

I'm thinking of filling up a Flat Rate box and listing it as a lot. Starting at $0.99. Just for grins...

Now if I can just figure out how to take pictures of this mess I'll be out of the woods...

I think the hardest part is getting started.

The second hardest part is maintaining your momentum once your first batch of get-it-outta-here sales are over.

I've set a goal of grossing $1,000 a month off the GIOH stuff. Got a late start in January due to suspensions but I'll probably make it on a pro-rated basis.

A daunting task it surely is...

But the prospect of regaining some of the space in my home is very appealing to me.

I guess the only way to do it is just DO IT!

P.S. Ugh...
