She is getting the in-home PT now, and it will continue for a couple weeks. Then we will start in with PT at the place she went after her shoulder surgery. Those people are great, and we have a lot of confidence in them. Her doctor specializes in sports injuries, and is very gung ho on PT. This is not actually degenerative, but more closely related to an injury. She lost an arguement with a horse several years ago I was just wondering how long it took you to get to the point where you could chase down hubby and kick his butt. I'm trying to calculate when I have to start behaving again

Sparkz, I'd give her about 3 more weeks--and then you'll have to mind your manners again.

Thanks Roadsmith. That's about what I was thinking also. Her knee feels better now than the day before surgery. If everything keeps progressing as rapidly as it has been, I'll be able to take her out for dinner on our anniversary on April 12th.

neglus What is the 55 Club?

Sparkz I get the AARP advertisements also. When I was old enough to join I did, and the discounts at various places REALLY paid to belong to AARP. THEN I got mad at AARP because I do not agree with their political positions, and I quit for YEARS. I re-joined a year or so ago, simply for the discounts I can get at various businesses, hotels and a few of the AARP magazine articles.

Regarding pre-planned funerals , My husband of 22 years is only 47, I will be 66 this year, but we have a pre-planned funeral in place for both of us. We know exactly how we want our funerals presented and only via a pre-planned funeral could we be legally secure regarding our wishes being fulfilled. IN ADDITION, our pre-planned funeral comes with an insurance plan. We were going to pay for the whole thing and be done with it – BUT, it costs so little more to do it on a payment plan, PLUS on a payment plan, if we purchased a pre-planned funeral on a payment plan, and one or both of us died before the funeral is fully paid for, the insurance pays the remaining amount!

We are both all for “pre-planned” funerals, living wills, etc. Just because you aren’t old is NO guarantee that you will not died in a car wreck, etc.. I know the younger you are the more invincible you feel, but do not kid yourself, no one I know has a guarantee on tomorrow!

Last year, on March 18th, 2005, we went to the funeral home to plan a funeral for my Mom who was getting up in years. It was a Friday. We selected everything, plus how to get her back to Texas where she wanted to be buried next to my Dad. We live in Alabama. At the same time, we decided to go ahead and do a pre-planned funeral for ourselves. The morning of March 20th, only 2 days later my Mom died!! It was so much easier to have done all the funeral arrangements prior to her death.

We are GREAT dog lovers, and have had our “fur babies” who have already passed, cremated, and put in proper Cremation Urns. In Alabama, and many other states, your beloved pet can be buried in the coffin with you if they have been cremated and are in a proper Urn, and that is what we plan to have done.

Sorry for your terrible experience. I normally keep 2 copies of every auction. I have used Auction Tamer since the 90’s, and not only have I not had problems with it, but the creator of it is a true computer Geek, and if I have a question, I just post it on the Forum, and usually the same day there is a detailed response. Mike who designed Auction Tamer, also created portions of “Quicken,” and other nationally known computer programs.

HINT keep backup copies of everything important on your computer, either on a Zip Drive, or Burn some CD’s. Realize anyone’s computer can completely crash, and occasionally everything is lost –and cannot be retrieved. We keep an older computer hooked up to our main computers, for nothing but storage of important documents, auctions, names and addresses, etc. My husband and I work solely e-commerce and have since 1995! It took one time losing everything for us to find a way to back up our 2 main computers.

We quickly found that if one of us did not become a computer Geek, we could not run a full time e-commerce business, as there are just too many things can go wrong with a computer to have to call in a “repair” man every time something happens. My husband is our live in technician – computer Geek, and he can take a computer totally apart, and rebuild it. PTL

Best of wishes for getting your auctions back up and running.

I vaguely remember Auction Tamer. I assume I would type that in the browser and it will come up?
