Hobbiest455...If the purple stain is from the Priority envelope, it should wash out easily with soap and water. The problem is, these blue and purple stains tend to reappear later after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light, such as sunlight. The proper way to handle this problem is to again remind her of your no return policy, and tell her to wash it thoroughly until the stain comes out. After it dries, you might suggest she stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Well thanks for all the advice! I sent her a message back with my address and told her upon prompt return of the item with tags still attached I would refund the purchase price plus $2.00 shipping. I still think she is lying because had I received and really wanted my money back, so bad I would beg for the $ to ship it back. I would have immediately returned, seeing she goes to the Post office every day. I think she wanted to sell my item in her little ebay business and found out she paid too much!!! I really don't think it will come back because I believe she wanted me to reduce the price and send her a partial refund through paypal.
As far as her having 3000+ 100% feedback. I don't think that means much at all. She could have done this to alot of people and not wanting to be negged. They accomodate her, and say nothing.
I was going to send her a shipping label and have her send it to goodwill, and refund her. My hubby thought that was funny but would make her mad. No telling that she would have actually sent to goodwill.
This is not about the $'s, it's the principal. I don't lie, steal or cheat others. I guess this was just a red head issue - you know red heads can have bad tempers! This one struck me wrong all the way around!!!
By the way I am now packaging, packaging, packaging - just in case!!!
Thanks!
Sue

Don't know about the USPS priority mail envelopes you are talking about as the ones I have are water resistant ( not flat rate) I put dripping wet colth on it let it stand with white papertowel inside and it never got wet and the ink did not run. OR was that a joke about the bags.
Anyway I always wrap my items in plastic bags for their protection and bubble wrap and or peanuts when appropriate. All that good stuff.
I think that buyer is trying to rip you off. I would not refund but if you do make her return it first and claim the security markings or such before she returns. Only time I ever had anyone want to return anything I wrote and told them no postage refunded period plus all the other bla bla about security inspection etc etc and I never heard back from them. OH one person wrote me and told me they had wrong person but they were talking about item I sent I got a laugh out of that one.

Yes I am talking about the tyvek postal mailers. I have gotten clothes in them and sent them out for years and never had a problem. They use tyvek material when building houses. I really can't see anything leaking through -- but I suppose anything is possible. I have received a number of things from other ebay members in them - never a problem!

hobby, why not make a test on the tyvek. Use a paper towel, first try it dry & then Wet rub the bag colors see if they rub off.
