Moment of seriousness.

Irene,

If I can be of assistance in your "pondering", please don't hesitate to ask. I would be more than willing to share my email with you.

It's a happy pondering, Femme... at least it will be once I get over my surprise (my plans were to make some big changes in my life in 3 years time - now it will all happen this year).

Hi nettak! good to see you

Xardon LOLOLOL the buttered popcorn helps us play Slip and Slide later on your tarp

Irene glad it's happy pondering that's the best kind.

Since they unceremoniously booted us out of stusi's thread last night, I'm just going to borrow Dougie's thread here for tonight

Kim,

You wouldn't happen to have any apple pie there would you? I could really go for a piece of homemade apple pie with crumb topping - just like my Mom makes. Just like the ones she made last week and just had to call me on the phone to tell me about them. She lives about an hour away and I couldn't get up there for fresh homemade apple pie, even when she called to tell me there was one piece left. Got any apple pie?

As they say in French, "enchantee", translated as "nice to meet you", but literally, "enchanted"!

i have noticed my mailbox is filling p with evermore irrelevant messages. i wrote in earlier to let folks know that there was this new great thing out there. those who are writing in as i nderstand represent a very small clique as i noticed its the same few people talking back and forth to each other, which if you check the posts, have nothing to do with my orig. post. whether i pleased you or annoyed you, whether the glass is half empty or half full, it was just an attempt to let you all know, since i've never been here before and never will again, that there, quite simply was a new and potentially very beneficial thing you should know about. sorry if i took up too much of what memory your computer has available. as mentioned, i do not stand the slightest financial gain.

I think we better save a big piece of pie for Dougie - he seems a little piqued at all the "fan mail" he's getting. Something about a clique here.

Since I'm fairly new here myself, I have to say that I am thoroughly honored to be included among your clique.

Douglas:

It's very rude to come to a strange place, show absolutely no desire to interact socially with anyone there, but be presumptuous to tell total strangers what they *should know*.

You have no idea what I *should* or *should not* know. You have made no attempt to get to know me.

further, it was not my intent to do anything more than let you know about a potential benefit to you on which make no gain. if you have any doubt, go to the site. if you doubt my motives further, punch in my name on the members area, you"ll find i've told the truth. and to those of you who continuously know each other, the glass could be half full and NOT just half empty. to those of you who choose to try this, fine,i stand by my conviction:my purpose was to help NOT SPAM! and to the clique, don't fault me on not using capital letters, it is common on email, and i live on disability because i have major eye problems. thank you.

douglastbailey,

By your profile you've been registered on AW since 1999, but have made just 3 posts, all today, 2/23/01, 2 of which are in this thread.

We've never had conversation with you, and I know I've never seen your ID before.

Therefore, your thread for bargainandhaggle.com is going to be viewed as spam, whether you intended for it to be, or not.

Edited to add: Make that 4 posts now.

If you have eye problems, then my suggestion is to use your CAPS LOCK, like some of our other legally blind friends here on AW.

There is a place in the Message Center for "other" auctions besides eBay, Yahoo, etc....your post might be more welcome there.

Kim - You read my mind!

Doug - Kim is right, there's another forum for "Other Auctions" which is where your thread belongs. This forum is for "kicking back, relaxing, and sharing ..." not for discussing a new site you found.

And you really should have some of Kim's pie - it's fabulous.

Kim - Please don't tell my Mom, but it's as good as hers!
