I don't believe you can mix and match calculated and fixed price shipping on international and domestic on eBay's Sell Your Item page itself, which is probably why you can't do it using any third party vendor. It's either all flat, or all calculated.

I do it with Vendio and I want to keep it the same. I haven't been able to come up with a good international flat rate especially for combined items. I might consider going to calculated for domestic but I use FedEx so that won't work either.

Maybe I'm not understanding what your looking to do but I do know you can choose
Flat rate shipping domestic and you can choose flat rate shipping for international........ If this is not what your talking about then I don't understand,
toni
oh I think I know, you want to use a calculator for International and just list your flat rate for domestic, is that right?

I don't see how you could possibly mix flat and calculated with vendio. You simply cannot do it -- if that is what you're asking.
And of course you can do calculated even if you use FedEx -- just use UPS rates. You will probably make a buck or two on each shipment, at least I do.

With Vendio you can mix flat rate and calculated. That is how I currently do it. I would use the UPS calculator but I am sure I would have buyers expecting shipments by UPS even if it was explained in the description.

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood -- I thought you meant in your item desciption/listing, not in your vendio checkout. And if you do mean your listing, I'd love to see an example, 'cause I sure can't do it.
And no, I haven't had anyone ever question the choice of carrier -- presumably most people equate UPS with anything other than post office. However, what works for me may not work comfortably for anyone else.

neglus, you wrote: "How did you handle the transfer of images in existing listings?"
manual revision. i only do this in batches of 5 to 10, so i don't get behind on other things. in the "edit picture" area on eBay. i check off delete the current image and upload your own using your own hosting service.
i'm secretly glad when postcards which have been in the store for a long time sell. it makes the end of this process that much sooner. i know what you mean about barely having enough hours in the day, which is why i just do a few of these at a time. hubby could scan them for me but, unfortunately for me, he is dyslexic and i don't want him cutting and pasting html, etc. i didn't say that and you didn't hear it, lol.
when i get the shopping cart in place at the website, i will probably use a template that is commented in yellow for him, saying "put image here," "cut and paste text here," etc. at least he can go by just the yellow areas. i will have to make it as close to foolproof as i can. he is a wonderful packing elf, so i don't want to alienate him when it gets to be shopping cart time. if i could find a high school student around here who wanted a small part-time job, i would probably hire them to do the cut and pastes.

I have flat rate domestic and calculated international setup with Vendio. In the auction listings it has the demestic listed in the ebay checkout section but I am not sure what international bidders see. In the description part where Vendio puts the shipping prices, it has the USA rate(s) and then a shipoping calculator below them for international. If a US buyer uses the shipping calculator link, it just gives them the flat rate prices no matter what zip code they enter.
Since Vendio added the calculator, I don't get all those emails anymore asking how much shipping is and I really don't want to go back to that again.
