I was wondering how many of the regulars here use Vendio for posting listings?
And, how many listings per month you normally have?
Thanks! I'm still trying to find something that will work for me.
My main concerns are the difficulty in changing items from store to core and in making revisions to listings regarding price, etc.
I can do all the above to every listing I have with one click of the mouse on my existing program. So, I can move all my inventory to auction and back to store in just a minute or two. I can change postage rates, price etc the same way.
But, I would like something net based versus computer based and I need to be able to track bids and to schedule listings without paying Ebay for the privilege. So, I'm back looking Vendio over.
I was a Vendio user for years but stopped using them when they went to the tiered fee schedule. I have between 3,000 and 10,000 listings at any given time.
I was selling under 3 ID's which made it impossible to use Vendio but I am moving all the inventory over to my main one now.
Edited to add that I will be getting a new computer in a few weeks and I see they are having problems with Vista

I use Vendio for listings. Its easy and convenient for me. Its easy to download my pictures, copy and list, relist, etc. My listings vary from none to maybe 30 a week depending on my busy schedule.

I use Vendio to initally list, eBay's Sales Manager Pro to relist and send to store. I use eBay for my post-sales management. I have about 300 auctions and 6000 store items at any given time.

How do you keep your vendio records straight for sold/unsold when you relist through Ebay?
Or do you just not worry about what shows here once you have it listed and in the Ebay system?
Do you use GTC? I've been afraid to use that due to the double postings I've been reading about and some other issues I've read about.

15-30 a week, with an occasional week off. Love Vendio, use Sales Manager and image hosting. I don't use their record-keeping; I keep my own records and go to My eBay when I need to. The ease of use is what keeps me with Vendio, seeing everything in 3 simple-to-read lists (for current, pending, and, sold). So simple to find what I'm looking for, compared to those clunky listings in My eBay. I need several photos for every listing I do, another reason to host in Vendio.
It would take something huge on Vendio's part for me to stop using their services.

Neil and Roadsmith...that is what I was listing when I was using Vendio.
But, now that I list 300 or so a week and keep over 5000 running I'm not sure it would work so well anymore (due to the difficulty in revising items and converting between store and core).
I used to love Vendio and keep wandering back over and looking everything over. I know I can't have everything, and was just trying to weigh the difficulty in revisions against the ease in listing, layout and scheduling abilities.
Thank you all for your replies.

I don't try to keep my Vendio Sold/Unsold records straight - I don't use Vendio's post-sale management tools. I periodically import my listings into Vendio as a back-up -- (never know if eBay will whimsically make all my items disappear)
Edited to add: Neglus is at the beach this week-end. She uses Vendio to list and relist and for post-sales management. She works a lot harder than I do when she sends her listings to her store. Once they are in her store, she rarely sends them to auction.

I'm with Stop on this one. I don't use them either. To me, it simply don't make financial sense.

I run two different eBay businesses now. One is inventory-centric and I have to keep track of stock very carefully. For this one I use Marketworks. The other one is for products with unlimited inventory, and for that one I use Turbo Lister.
I really like Vendio, but it's just not where I need to be right now.

For those who don't use it, you have listed many of the reasons I stopped.
But, I feel like I am wasting a lot of time by doing part of the listing and selling in one place, and part of it somewhere else and part on my own.
If I could do it all in just one place then I could list twice as much.
That was the thinking behind my combining three stores into one. Before we had 300 categories for stores I really had no choice. But, now, I think I can combine them all just fine. While I'm doing the stores moves I thought it would be a nice time to see what everyone else uses because I'm having to do a lot of revisions on most of my listings.
But, the listing process is tedious and I would love to have something that would work faster and easier.
I did look at Market Works, but the learning curve is huge. I tried and gave up after a couple of days.
It still may be my best bet. But, I think it is more geared to sellers with multiples of items and everything I sell is OOAK.

Well,same can be said here-
If an item does not sell on Ebay, dont list it!

I use Vendio to list some of my items. The ones I sell more than one time. Most of my store items I don't because I sell DVD's and videos, its easier to just punch in the number and E-Bay provides the description and picture.

I use Vendio to host my pictures, list, relist and manage end of auction. I pay for the service, I might as well use as many of the features as I can. It just makes sense to have everything flow. I've tried using eBay's system and I felt like it was a bunch of little pieces I was trying to hold together. I use the off-line Sales Manager pro to list and schedule. I use the automated e-mail - and can close and ship transactions faster than I could without it. I can export all the shipping information to stamps.com in a couple clicks. I've investigated other programs and couldn't find one with as many features and as easy to use as Vendio. It's a bit of a pain to do the relists, but that's about the only drawback I can think of.

I use Turbo-lister to list.
I keep my own records.
I use My eBay for invoices and such.

I use sellers sourcebook for photo hosting and templates. I type my listings up there and attached photos and then paste the html into Turbo Lister to launch. I can store and organize my listings in sellers sourcebook. All post sale management and re-listing is done through eBay.
I went from a $60-$70 a month bill to about $8.00 a month.
There are more steps involved in what I do now but I am saving about $600 a year.

I average 75 to 100 items a month. Antique and collectibles so I rarely have more than one of a kind.
I use Sales Manager Pro (Vendio) for all my 1st listings. I relaunch using Vendio - if the item doesn't sell the 2nd time - I put it in my store using My Ebay and then import to Vendio for recording keeping. It's easier and saves me a little on fees.
I used to use Vendio post management but had a few problems with shipping to the wrong address when the customer gives a different address to Vendio and did not let me know. So now I use My Ebay for invoices and shipping. It's not too bad with my volume.
If Vendio is reading this post - I wish they would offer the following for relisting items without editing:
1 Change the number of days
2 Change the title
3 Change the category
4 Somehow indicate auctions that were edited after listing as they look fine until they are relaunched with the same error as the original.
5 Switch from auction to store and charge less as ebay does for store listings

Antiques, collectibles, roadkill. Some 50 listings a month, more or less.
Turbolister to list, relist (but don't often relist). My ISP for image hosting. My eBay for keeping things straight, USPS shipping labels (domestic and international, including customs forms), who paid, etc. ShipRush for FedEx labels. All free.
I send very few invoices -- maybe one or two a week and usually for multiple purchases/combined shipping. Use shipping calculator, and buyer always has a choice of carrier. I don't have a store, but imagine I would use turbolister to change format if needed.

Love Vendio, I list 100-200 items a month and find it easy to use, except for relisting and needing to edit to change anything. Picture hosting has been reliable.

I use Vendio to list and relist in the same format. I have started using ebay to move items to my store (unless I want to change the template - then I use Vendio) because it is SOOOOOOO much easier. I then import the items to Vendio because I use Vendio for post-sale etc. Usually if there is a stumbling block in using Vendio, there is a work around.

If you import your items to Vendio while they are still active do they upload the photos too and does Vendio still charge their final value fee when something sells?

Neglus, Do you use the automated winning bidder email system from Vendio? If you switch from auction to store at eBay and then import to Vendio and the item sells, will Vendio still send out the WBN automatically or do you have to send it out yourself? I use Vendio for listing, re-listing and post sale also and find the switching the item from auction to store through Vendio tedious and would like to try using Ebay but don't want to have to manually send out winning bidder notifications.

Been using it since I started on Ebay and it was Auction Watch and was FREE! Currently use Sales Manager Pro, listing, relist, image hosting and gallery, with no complaints. For me, the internet was new and Auction Watch was easier for me to use than ebay for listing. At that time I had an internet service that was limited to 150 hours a week, so the Sales Manager Pro saved me lots of time as I can list off line. Still use it, best thing since chocolate! I always used the image hosting, as I could not understand FTP or something like that.

Thank you all.
I'm going to give it another try. I love how easy it is to list offline but I do need to switch things between auction and store during specials.
Maybe I can do that through Ebay when I need to (through send to auction)???

ewora - I don't know about whether or not I am charged a FVF on the imported items. I imagine I am.
Pixia: They DO import the images and rename them. I always make sure that my unfiled image folder is empty before importing my items. Because these items were listed through Vendio, the images are already in the system and it is not necessary to import them - I just delete the images from the unfiled image folder after import.
queenofcollectibles: I don't use Vendio WBN or checkout so I am not sure how that works. Probably best to ask on the "vendio Services" board below this one. I don't use the full suite of Vendio post-sale actions. I use Vendio to keep track of my payments and to send payment received and shipping notices and to give feedback.

Consulting my hwahwa-to-English dictionary, I believe what she meant when she said "If an item does not sell on Ebay, dont list it!" is...
Why are you spending time moving inventory back and forth between store and core?
It's a reasonable question. I'm guessing your response is going to be that you want to take advantage of special listing days by temporarily moving store items.
You said,
But, I feel like I am wasting a lot of time by doing part of the listing and selling in one place, and part of it somewhere else and part on my own.
If I could do it all in just one place then I could list twice as much.
May I respectfully suggest you consider ways to SELL twice as much?
