I like fixed priced auctions and store selling and buying.
I recently purchased for myself, several high-end fashion items, brand new with tags at great prices.

Actually, I agree with the fluffy as a buyer. Personally, I look for the BINs first. There have been many times a seller would have made more if they would have put a BIN on it because I would have snatched it up. Instead, I placed a snipe bid and won it for far less.
Usually, I put BINs on my items. Sometimes I put something up solely as a BIN and sometimes as auction + BIN. It just depends on the item. I used to do well with my BINs, but lately they haven't done as well.

I find just the opposite with BINs. If I put a BIN on an auction and someone bids on it, so the BIN disappears, many times the final price is more than the BIN.

Yes, it usually costs more but the times I've used it, it was worth it. A week before school started, I gave up trying to talk my son into playing his cousin's trombone and succumbed to getting him a trumpet. The school didn't have anymore rentals, the music store rental fees and new and used instruments were outrageously high. Ebay had a number of low-end new trumpets with one seller that had get it fast. My son really loves his trumpet, the band teacher says it is a fine student-grade trumpet and I saved way over $200 even with the added shipping.

Re added shipping, I thought the original poster didn't mind paying more if she got what she wanted without waiting.

We are all extremely bored aren't we?
I like BIN when I have won something from a seller and want to add on to save on shipping -some people combine shipping
I use a snipe program for everything else set at my highest bid with a 3 second snipe.
I have never bought clothes off of eBay. Music, books, linens, magazines!, even a beanie baby, but no clothes.
I like to buy clothes from Appleseeds and Saks. Nearest mall is 60 miles away.
I agree that a nice mix of auctions, auctions with BIN, Fixed Price and store items keep it interesting for the customer. I am a little behind in that right now.

I said that once purchased, I didn't care how long it takes for the item to reach me. I don't look for Get It Fast listings precisely because I don't care how long the transit time is, not because I'm cheap. I just want to know I've secured it and it's on its way.
Pixiamom, on the other hand, says she is sometimes willing to pay more to get it faster.
Hope this clears up your evident confusion. If this explanation doesn't suffice, try getting more sleep and adding fiber to your diet.

I have to agree with Fluffy, I also don't like bidding on something that should have a buy it now price, I see no sense to a bidding war.
They should just list a BIN price with make an offer.
And also when I check ebay out I look for only items with BIN, If I don't find what I want then I go to a web site and just buy it.
The things I sell I wish I could put a BIN, but its not easy to know what my items will sell for so I need to do auction style. But when your selling new items you should know what it sells for.
