Bill's right, although stamps have a huge learning curve that I have spent way too much time on to pay off. Postal History used to be easy, but postalhistory.com seems to have their links temporarily mixed up. I have two current auctions which I believe bids came from the back side of the card, one an RPO (railway postmark), one a DPO (Dead or discontinued Post Office)
