Antiquary,

Very good observation...

The shirt was added during Hillary's campaign...

If the discussion is centered on the topic without personal jabs the thread can stay open.

bobbysoxer,

I'm confused. Do you want the thread left open or do you want it locked?

You cannot always expect the Membership to stay on topic. If getting derailed happens to all your threads you can alert the moderators to keep an eye out.

Okay, open or locked?

Wow!

We have permission to post here...and
I didn't even know we had to ask.

That shows how dumb I am.

Toke,

I've always admired your subtle irony.

barry,

Great touch. I always get a kick out of your pictures.

Not wanting to be rude...

Hello back at you, Barry.

Speaking for myself, just fine. Thanks for asking.

While we're all just hanging around waiting, does anyone know if it is still forbidden to refer to a formerly suspended poster whose name begins with a "B?

Well I guess all of us in the Northeast have resigned ourselves to a difficult few days of inclement weather. Hillary, too, I would imagine.

If you are referring to me that was libelous. I have never been suspended.

Why would you assume that I was referring to you?

Ah yes...resigned is a good commodity here in NY.

Shoot...being snowed in can be fun.

I think that you may be going out of your way reading into casual conversation implications which do not exist.

Longer term posters here will know to whom I was referring. The name came up in a thread in the EO a couple of weeks ago and some posters were discussing it. I've been curious if that rule still holds also.

I think that you are over-reacting.

This just in from FOX news:

While reading the enlightening article referenced in the topic I was sidetracked by news of the storm in the NE. This part of the story really grabbed me:

At Karn's Quality Foods in Cumberland County PA milk cartons were being hauled off the shelves so quickly on Saturday that workers could barely keep up.

"There hasn't been a break yet," Jeff Haff,15,said as he and co-worker Grant Lawrence,16,restocked milk shelves. "And when we get done with this, the eggs are empty, so we've got to restock them. It's a vicious cycle".

I note your opinion.

I have been hanging around AW longer than my join date indicates and do have several ids other than bobbysoxer. Only one is used to post of course per AW rules. I apparently missed the mention of the person you are allegedly referring to.

You need to understand where I am coming from too since you do have a history of making jabs at me. Some are as recent as today.

Again I will put into consideration your insight.

Yes, bobbysoxer, you seem to feel that a number of people here do that. As you so often state, that's your opinion.

Antiquary...

Alas, my contrition is ever short-lived.
I believe the B you mention is of so little consequence as to be long forgotten. I can't imagine the AW staff would trouble themselves over such a triviality, can you?

Nah.

That is what the ignore button is for.

However when the comments cross the line in my opinion attacking my character without cause (ie the suspension) or if it is against AW guidelines than I will not tolerate it. It is that simple.

I do apologize for misunderstanding your post.

It's a long and unbelievably complex story of a former poster who caused so much havoc to the board that Diana[b] and [b]Markforbade the use of the name.

It's just one of those old nostalgia situations that arise in reference from time to time.

Irene could probably give the most thorough account of the saga. But I don't know if even she could possibly untangle the whole thing.
