So here you all are!!!
Seeing the big "locked" sign on the other thread had all kinds of thoughts whirling through my mind! It was kind of like approaching a crime scene. I was wondering if:
a) Bob had run over someone with his ute
b) Rocker hit Michelle over the head with her guitar
c) Nettak spontaneously combusted from too many Tim Tams
d) Mouse had tried the Vegemite... and had a hissy fit
Glad it was nothing too serious!!!
Did someone mention Wagon Wheels and Ginger Beer??? Haven't had either of those for years! Pass them over....

I hope she will be ok - our thoughts are with you...

Just wondering how you folks insert your animated clipart into your posts? Thanks (sure glad you cant see what I'm wearing, LOL).
PS: Hi Michelle, I thought you'd be mopping up after last nights pounding you took on the boards,

Thanks for the welcome pharlap (isnt that a horse?). I did read most of this thread and feel the urge to contribute rocky mountain oysters on the barbie and chokecherry jam to your party feast. Yum. (bleah). I will try your suggestion to get a photo of what I look like this time of night but if it doesnt work, I'll be editing again. I could bid on those choc covered cat poops over on ebay and contribute to dessert, according to AW news article, ROFL! (bleah again)
Well, didnt work, no pix. Might be too big. *sigh*

I saw that! I'm getting all excited
Do you guys have Wagon Wheels over there? I keep thinking of other things that I didn't think to put in the package and I'm kicking myself! I might have to send a 2nd little package with the things I've forgotton. After all - You're going to need Golden Syrup if you're going to make ANZAC Biscuits

OK - back up from my nap! Well, I ended up watching The Mummy again, and then taking a nap, but anyway - I forgot a couple of things last time...
Rocker - I use Ragu's 7 herb sauce - I just brown some ground beef and throw it in with it. That's about as domestic as I get, too. Except for the chicken paprika. I'll cook so I can eat THAT stuff. Just found the recipe, so I'll put it in here. Oh, and I didn't mean to scare you with the lighter!
Nettak - I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL.
CHICKEN PAPRIKA
You start off with these ingredients in a BIG pot (it will need to be large enough to stir the noodles in at the end)
3tbs hot oil (on med-hi)
1tsp salt
1tsp paprika
1lb Chicken (I use breasts, but you can use what you like)
Brown the chicken for 15-20min
Then add:
1 med. onion, coarsely chopped. (If you don't like onions, I would just cut them in larger pieces so they'll be easy to pick out - they really need to be in there for the flavor)
1/2cup water
1tbs paprika (in addition to what's already in there)
1tsp salt (in addition to what's already in there)
1tsp pepper
It will look like an awful lot of paprika, but just trust me on this one. Of course, that's what hungarians do - they put TONS of paprika in everything!
Simmer for 30 minutes - stir (and turn chicken) occasionally.
Take just the chicken out, and add 8oz of sour cream (it's easier to mix if you leave it out while you're cooking) to the pot. Mix well - this will make a nice sauce. Then add cooked noodles to the sauce. (you will
need to start them around the time you add the onions. I use egg noodles, but any flat noodle will do - you'll need a 16oz bag.)
Then just serve the chicken on the noodles and sauce mix - YUM!!! I have everyone I know HOOKED on this stuff! (Even the one's that don't like onions will eat this)
You guys mind if I bring my pet dragon to the party? He's VERY friendly!
Here's one of those cool lightning balls to look at, too!
And of course I can't forget the pet tiger!
Ooops - tons OF paprika, not ON!

tigerlady That tucker sounds good.
Here's an Aussie recipe.
Cockatoo a'la carte"
First catch a cockatoo.
Pluck it and cover in olive oil and favourite herbs.
Insert six egg sized river rocks into the body cavity.
Wrap the whole thing in foil and bury it in the embers of a camp fire for three hours.
Extract the cockatoo and carefully remove the six river rocks.
Throw the cocky away!

Tigerlady, that sounds delish! I'm gonna have to write it down and try it. I swear my mom used to make something like that ages ago...Her thing nowadays is curry. Oh, and the tiger poops out for me too
Pharlap, now I'm going to have to figure out how to pack it and afford to send it! I was shocked went I went to the postal website and did an estimate! I couldn't fit it all in the 2 smaller boxes and there's too much room left in the next larger box I have. I'll have to ponder it tomorrow when I'm thinking straight, LOL!
