mouse, Looks like it's just the two of us for a while. Better turn the lights down low and we'll have a slow dance or two!

mouse, I've been pretty busy this last week and of course it has been the long weekend here.
I've been flat chat doing a lot of listing etc. Tonight is very busy. I've got somewhere about 40 auctions closing tonight on multiple sites so it's keeping me on my toes!!
It's nice to take five, relax and take some time out with good company.

Bob, Downunder but never down.

Aww shucks

That's part of the reason I'm so anxious to get my computer back, so I can start listing again. I can't hook the scanner up to this one, it can't handle it. And since I don't have a digital camera yet, I don't have much choice! How come it was a long weekend there?

So, this American Mutt takes a trip to France. Having heard how friendly the local
ladies are he spots two French Poodles
standing next to what else? (a fire hydrant)
So, he bounds over to them to say, "Hi".
The first little French Poodle turns her nose
up in the air and announces my name is Mimi...M*I*M*I. (with a French accent of
course) the 2nd Poodle (with equal disdain)
says, my name is Fifi....F*I*F*I...now our
little mutt knows they are putting on airs,
so as not to be outdone he says, and my name
is Fido...P*H*Y*D*E*A*U*X!!
DOGS JUST WANNA HAVE PHUN

problem is when I go to bed I can't sleep
even when I feel really tired. What's
happening out your way, weatherwise and all??
Is this the time of year you get all the rain?
You probably won't be up too late tonight
after all that dancin and partying last night. I thought that was so funny when
Bitsandbobs sent the picture of the
wine to his winning bidder by mistake. She
probably thought she was really winningsomething goooood!!

can't speel!!

Oh, I know that feeling. I was exhausted when I finally went to bed at 6:30am this morning. But I couldn't sleep and couldn't stay asleep. I hate that!

We don't usually get much rain here this time of year (or much anytime, LOL), but we've been getting quite a bit. Haven't watched the news in a couple of days though, so I don't know if we have more coming. Usually by now we're headed into the 80's, but we've been lucky to get into the 70's. We're loving it! Usually July/August is our worst rainy season with the monsoons.

By the way Miss Zilvy, like my new sig line? I keep tweaking it until I get it right!

Like your new tag line a...mine would be I
dontwanna be hippy but nobody would listen.
In honor of your rainy season I offer the
following silliness.
There was a painter by the name of Jock, who was very interested in making a penny where he could, so he often would thin his paint
to make it go further.

As it happened, he got away with this for some time, but eventually the Church decided to do a big restoration job that involved the painting of one of its biggest churches. Jock put in a bid, and
because his price was so low, he got the job.

He went about erecting the trestles and setting up the planks, and buying the paint and, yes, thinning it down with the turpentine.

Jock was up on the scaffolding, painting away with the job nearly completed, when suddenly there was a horrendous clap of thunder, and the sky opened.

The torrential rain washed the thinned paint off the church and knocked Jock off the scaffold and on to the lawn, among
the gravestones, surrounded by telltale puddles of the thinned and useless paint.

Jock was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he got on his knees and cried:

"Oh, God! Forgive me! What should I do?"

And from the thunder, a mighty voice spoke...
(you'll love this....)

Repaint! Repaint! And thin no more!
