Hi Pharlap! Yes, it seems my disability claim was denied. Which is funny because their doctor agreed with my doctor that I shouldn't be released yet. I just don't understand insurance companies I tell ya! Now I have to do an appeal. I have no idea how to do one, so I need to get with my doctor about it. I guess there's still some hope, but in the meantime i have no money coming in. On a brighter note, I may have a job or 2 open to me that will help out (things I can actually do). So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that silver lining shows up again!!

Thanks Bob, sing it baby!

Well that's great! (dripping with sarcasm) Does this mean that they expect you to go back to your previous job while you're still unwell?!?!? That would be a marvelous way to keep you from fuly recouperating (sp?) don't you think?

Sorry, I had to go rescue a gecko before the cats killed it completely! (They only managed to get it's tail off this time )

Mama Michelle! How are you this fine spring evening? It's a very pleasant 60 degrees here in Phoenix with clear skies Of course we're in the 80's during the day now Won't be long before we hit 100

Pharlap, exactly! That's part of what I say in my 6 page complaint letter. My company has short term and long term disability. You're converted to long term after 6 months. Since this all began last June, the conversion was in Dec. Even though I worked p-t Aug-Oct. What they are saying is that you have to be completely disabled to qualify for long term. Since my dr. said I can lift up to 10 lbs. and alternate sitting/standing not to exceed an hour, I'm not totally disabled. Oh, and if my plant can't accomodate those restrictions, I'm SOL too. But my plant won't let me come back without a release, which I don't have anyway. I'm between a rock and a hard place. There are a couple of jobs I've been thinking of doing, but didn't dare because I would get into trouble. Now that I've been denied, it seems I can do them anyway. One of them is as a receiver for my DH and brother's company since they both work during the day and I've been home. I dunno, this whole thing is a mess

Keep writing those letters Mouse. Maybe when they realise that you won't take this cr@p lying down they will actually do something positive...

It's funny that you should use the term SOL. I only learnt just the other day in the Ebay Outlook what that meant

See you later Bob, thanks for the smilies.

Boy it is pouring down here at present. I can hear it pelting on the roof and we have tiles so you normally do not hear it even when it is raining hard.

My baby came home today with a new earring, he got this one in the top of his ear. Even though I am not thrilled about this new hole stamped through him, I can tell you it is better than what he wanted to get. This darling child wanted to get either a tongue stud, eyebrow barbell or one through his lip. I can almost feel the pain these things would cause.

Anyway he knows how I feel about the other sort of piercings and he also know that his father would have a fit if he got his tongue, eyebrow or lip pierced. So he decided it was a safe bet if he just put another hole in his ear. Don't tell anyone but I actually like it on him, he is one of these guys that everything suits, and the girls chase him. Boy do they chase him , and he is only 16, can you imagine what he is going to be like in a few years time. He will have such a big head he will not be able to fit through a door. That is why he got me for a mother, I was sent to keep him in line.

Didja get your song pharlap? Got me on there now - haven't checked it out in a while - downloaded another 25 songs. Listening to "Lola" now, I love the kinks. Feel a LITTLE better since I've had a nap.

I feel for ya mouse. I've been so stressed lately - the bills are behind, haven't been able to put any money back into the business since like Christmas, I need to list more so MAYBE something will sell, but I don't have the money for listing fees - I'm so stressed I can't sleep... even more so than usual, and to top it off I'm sick - AGAIN. UGH!!! It's starting to look like I really need to find a real job (gasp), but it's kinda' hard to find one where I won't have to stand up much, (bad back, neck, and ankle) can work later in the afternoon, (insomnia) AND don't have to dress up. (just don't do it) I feel like I could just scream.

OK... Thanks for the vent!

Hmmm, trying to think of some more songs to download... What's your id on napster pharlap? What kind of stuff do you have?

nettak, Thats it. All done with the serious stuff.
I've just been paying some off the plastic, payed a few bills and threatened the moron in the U.S. whose check bounced on me with a personal visit from my cousin Vinnie!
I haven't really got a cousin Vinnie, but you never know, it might just work!

I know how you feel about your boy.
I've got two of them, just a little bit older. One week it's green hair, next week it'll be purple.
I'll swear blind my missus was impregnated by aliens!

ROTF Bob, I just think it is a stage that most boys go through. I am not so much worried about the earrings in his ear, but I do not like the idea of him having holes pierced on other parts of his face or body.

The hair was black yesterday and today it is a lovely shade of blonde, well not really blonde either, to be honest I can't really describe what it looks like. But hey it is hip it is happening and he is one cool dude. LOL well at least he thinks he is. Unfortunatly the girls seem to think he is some happening dude as well. His head gets bigger by the second, as each girl chases him his head expanded with pride. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.

Tigerlady, good to see you back in, I am sorry I did not get back, we had a storm and my line dropped out and I could not connect.

Hey Tigerlady, vent all you want, that's what we're here for! I know it will eventually work itself out, it usually does, I just hate the stress and worry in the meantime! Try a phone type job, that should be right up our alley. Or a computer job, something along those lines. See I'm weird, I have a bad back (boy has that been apparent this year!), a bad knee and a bad foot too so I hear ya. But, I like to be active at work, I hate just sitting still. Someday I will find the perfect job. What sucks is my company pays so well and has awesome benefits it's hard to give it up. I'm thinking of taking a personal leave even after I'm supposed to go back, and do some soul searching and networking to see what's out there.

Netta, you're such a good mom! My mom let me go through the piercing and hair dying phase too. She rolled her eyes a few times, but she helped me dye my hair right since she was a pro So, does he have any tatoos yet?? I may be 30 now, but that's still my next step

Ok, I have to run for awhile, Survivor is coming on!

Well, folks, this is a red letter day in a black letter week for me. My special 2 carton shipment worth over $1000 US FINALLY arrived in Sydney....only 4.5 months before they got their special item delivered from customs to UNSW. Isn't that awesome? What a relief for all the parties involved. This was a very special complete set ca 1929 of medical optical stereoviews in 10 volume boxed set....verrrry rare to find a complete set in good order (actually excellent condition.) They are tickled with the packing and condition and gave us plaudits for our description and excellent customer service. EEEEYAAAHOOOO!!!

So how is everybody else doing? I won't be able to stay up again tonight...been pretty sick puppy since Sunday, hopefully will begin to get back very soon. Haven't seen any input from Rockerdoes anyone know if she is ok? Is her computer down? Is she down? Netta have you had any communication?

I love dropping in to visit during the day even if I can't play in the wee hours...miss you guys. Pharlap keep the jokes coming, Bitsandbobs what's this disown the little darlings just because of green hair?? Mouse I hope things work out for you, this is just miserable...I finally saw your newest pictures of the cute kitties. {{{{to all}}}}
Bob by the way where in the US does the bad check writer live...I used to work as a collection agent for a finance company...had the best record of collection going in the country ( I can be verrry intimidating und he vill not enchoy it!) and my name won't be Vinnie but Brunhilde!!
