Hi Brunhilde LOL, you go girl. hahah
Rocker is in rehersal for the show she is going to be in, that's why she hasn't been in lately. She is just too tired out after rehersal I guess. Although she does promise to come in as soon as she can. Rocker knows that we all miss her and tells me she misses us as well.
So I told her that we will keep the party going for her and will be waiting for her return.
Mouse, Oh yes I am a cool mother, but I have to draw the line at letting him get a tattoo. If when he is older he decides to get one then that is up to him, but at present I do not want him marking his body forever with something that he may regret later on in life. I can cope with the earrings, and with the different coloured hair but I think that is as cool as I can be for now. After all this is my baby.
Zilvy, Congratulations that is wonderful news. I am so happy that everything arrived safely.

Helllooooo, is anyone about? All that daytime rest I've been getting has finally caught up with me and now I can't sleep. Funny thing part of the reason was that big Tigger was crowding me...well, guess who just came into the office and is chirping, calling and being a nag...him doesn't want to sleep alone...poor kitty! We are now experiencing a Nor'easter of some great magnitude..always the worst directional storm possible for us here. It will melt some of the snow an unbelievable 18" still remains in our area. So hopefully a lot of that will be gone, but now of course we have flood potential. Never a dull moment weatherwise. I'll check back in a bit.

Hello Zilvy, are you still around, floating about out there somewhere. If not sorry we missed you and hope you pop back in to talk to us.
Well guys as I already told you, my youngest darling child had changed his hair colour to something sort of blonde, well it aint blonde no more. LOL You should have seen it, I told him he looked more like tigger because it was kind of strippy looking, and it had gone a gingery colour in parts. Talk about funny. He would not go outside the house, (and we live on acreage so who was going to see him) until I went and got some black hair dye for him. So you guessed it, his hair is now dyed black once again. At least it suits him. LOL
This kid has always been like 3 kids' rolled into one and as he has grown up he hasn't changed one little bit, it is still just like having 3 Josh's instead of one. LOL
I will be in and out tonight, so if you are here I will talk to you later.

I've found you a hit man. Use him for as long as you want! I've paid his fee.
When he's done, send him round to that boss of yours!

posted on March 22, 2001 04:47:20 PM newMouse I have an idea Bob might need an umbrella. It is flooding in Melbourne. Bob are you okay down there, I just saw the report on the morning news and I shows flooding as bad or worse than we just had up here.
Hope everything is intact in your house, and not floating away.

Oh my, I hope everything is ok Downunder. I was looking at a travel brochure today and it had Australia in it, boy I was dreaming! (And trying to figure out how to come see all 3 of you )
Sorry I didn't pop back in last night. I wasn't feeling well and went to bed early

I am sure that Bob will be okay, Melbourneites are used to wild weather conditions, but I guess this was probably a bit wilder than the norm even for them.
They may have power cuts depending on what part of Melbourne Bob is in. So we may not hear from him .
Now as for the travel leaflet, if you can get as far as Brisbane either Pharlap or I could pick you up and then Bob can drive up from Melbourne, it will only take him a day or so if he drives right through the night. LOL He needs a bit of Queensland sunshine. We can all go and stay at the Casino down the Coast (that is Pharlap's town) and gamble the night away. Hahaha See we all have dreams.

News of my demise is entirely untrue.
We had a bit of rain and a few flash floods, but in most of the places that flooded, they have a flood if a dog piddles on a lampost.
Yesterday, (Thursday) was rainy, but we need it really badly.
Today has been great again. Mild and sunny. I've been playing golf all day and it's
been perfect!

posted on March 23, 2001 12:49:52 AM newBob, please report in when you can, we're worried about ya!
Netta, the choices in the brochure are: Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Gold Coast. If I remembered right, the Gold Coast one is the closest to you and Pharlap, right?
Besides, after one taste of Tim Tams hubby really wants to visit there! (Better bring an extra suitcase just for the Tim Tams )
posted on March 23, 2001 12:54:45 AM new
Well Bob, I am glad that you are not flooded out.
Mouse, Pharlap is on the Gold Coast, but you would have to land at Brisbane International Airport and I think they would take you down to the Gold Coast. Well at least I think that is how it is done. LOL Anyway I still vote to stay at the casino and gamble the night away.
posted on March 23, 2001 12:57:04 AM new
Just thought of another way to get up here. You could land in Melbourne (you would have to ditch hubby), Bob could pick you up and then you could drive up here with him. We could meet you at the Casino. LOL

We must have been typing at the same time Bob! Golfing eh? Lucky guy! Living in the desert like I do, we are quite familiar with flash flooding around here. In this part of the country that is our worst natural disaster. We don't have earth quakes, blizzards or tornadoes (thank goodness! But we do have lots of golf courses (hint, hint )
Oh, and the Gold Coast trip happens to be the least expensive on the list Sydney being the most expensive. So when hubby and brother's company takes off and we get rich, I'll be on my way! By the way, who needs a new computer?? (Besides me that is )

Give me some warning. I'll have to pack the missus off somewherefirst.
And I'll have to take the golf clubs, the fishing rods, the chain saw and the empties out of the front of the ute!

I've got a couple of small jobs to do for the next hour so I'll check back in later.
Book that trip mouse, you'll have a ball over here.
The way our dollars crashed you'll never get here cheaper than you can now!

Hey Bob, that sounds like the front of my husbands truck. He has assorted chain saws, ropes ect on the front seat and floor.

Ok, here's the scenario: We fly into Melbourne and awaiting us is Bob holding up a sign with our name on it (as a driver). He takes us to say, Sydney and lose hubby sightseeing. Then Bob and I take off in a convertible up the coast and meet Netta & Pharlap at the casino! How's that sound?
Speaking of Pharlap, where is my friend tonight?? And has she gotten my package yet? Netta, have you gotten a package yet?
I must share my 2 marvelous eBay stories that happened yesterday! One of my items hasn't yet arrived and it's been over 10 days. I've bought from this seller before (under my seller id) and I know she's very prompt. So I sent her an email to check on it. She sent me a refund, no questions asked. I'm not sure if I told her my seller id and she recognized me or not.
The other one was a pair of pants that I got with 2 other items. I just recently bought one other item from this seller. I got the package, checked everything quickly and tried them on. I left positive feedback for him. Then I was showing them to hubby and noticed the pants had obviously been worn, I didn't notice it earlier. So I sent him an email. He too just refunded my money, including shipping, no questions asked. He didn't even want me to send them back. Boy was I impressed with both cases! And the latter one has some bad feedback having to do with refunds and mixed up items.
What a nice change of pace from the last one that never arrived. She insinuated that I was lying because DC showed it was delivered, but I honestly never got it. The PO does make mistakes. I had bought from her before too, but I won't again. I did finally get a refund after I pointed out that I paid for insurance. Which was unusual because I rarely get insurance, but with her it was mandatory. Good thing too!

Me thinks that Bob had better replace the old ute with something a little bit more sedan like. LOL Especially if he is to pose as the driver. Oh yes and you could drop hubby off at the Cross in Sydney, I am sure he will enjoy himself. LOL
Bob do you know the way to the Cross.
Great ebay stories Mouse, I am pleased that it all worked out for you.
I have only had one sour deal when purchasing off ebay, and he ended up refunding my money, mind you it took almost 3 months before he paid my money back to me. I love it when I buy something and it arrives, even though you know what it is that you are getting, it is still exciting because you only had a photo to go on and when you see it and can handle it for the first time, it is like WOW.
I won an auction a few weeks back for a teapot and matching cups and saucers, now I was pretty certain that the pattern matched a beautiful tea set that I had bought locally a couple of weeks before, but when I got it I was thrilled because it matched perfectly. So now my tea set has a tea pot and spare cups and saucers. That made Netta one very happy girl.

That's great Netta! I'm happy for you too
Unfortunately I have had to stop shopping with that latest news about my disability But I'm glad I got some new clothes to wear at least. I've always wanted a pair of overalls, but they seem to go so high on eBay. But I found a really cute pair with a good BIN price. I got them a few days ago and they fit perfectly! Now if it hadn't have gotten so bloomin hot I could've worn them Our temps went up like 20 degrees in about a week. Summer is defintiely on the way for us here. Time to shave the legs and wash the shorts and t-shirts!
posted on March 23, 2001 02:04:01 AM new
LOL Oh how I understand about hairy legs through winter. I wear trousers everyday throughout winter, so why should I bother shaving. Hahaha
It seems funny that you are coming into hot weather and we are getting ready for winter on our side of the world.
I had to start my diet again this week, because if I didn't I would not fit into my winter work wardrobe and I am buggered if I was going to have to spend more money on clothes to work in. Most of the clothes that I wear for work are navy blue, I find that the most suitable colour and I can put a colourful shirt under a navy blazer to brighten it up. I think I only own 2 pairs of trouser that aren't navy blue. At least if they get dirt on them I can brush it off and no one can see it. LOL

Even in the winter I usually shave every couple of weeks because it starts to drive me crazy! But I've been lucky to shave once a month because of my back. And it about kills me when I finally do Hopefully it will get easier soon! I saw the torturist today (he laughed at my term of affection fof him ) and hopefully I will feel a little better in a day or so. I've noticed it usually takes a couple of days to recover
My work clothes used to be jeans and plain t-shirts, which of course spilled over into my weekend wear too. Hubby used to complain that my clothes were boring. So now I hardly have any plain t-shirts
posted on March 23, 2001 02:27:42 AM new
I have to admit that if I am wearing a t-shirt I would prefer that it was a plain colour, because that way you can wear it with anything, or you can dress it up if you want.
We seem to be on our own tonight, Pharlap wasn't in last night either was she??
Oh well she is young and single and it is Friday night over here. Could it be party time.
