Hi mouse, nettak,
Good news today. My cousin Vinnie did his thing with the bounced cheque writer. Today I received full replacement plus costs from my buyer with a certified cashiers cheque.

Bob, Downunder but never down.

Congratulations, Bob I am glad everything worked out well for you.

I wonder, now that Vinnie has finished that job for you. Could I borrow him to bounce a certain Real Estate Agent. LOL

I have just finished emailing Rocker, just to let her know that we are all still thinking about her.

Good for you Bob! I'm happy for ya

No road trip Netta, we started out having a relaxing day at home. Then Dad went to the hospital again. I was woken up right before we called the paramedics. I just love those wake up calls

Vinnie emailed me and was impressed with the coverage of Don Bradmans memorial service.
He was puzzled why the Family in NY hadn't mentioned him before!

Oops sorry, I got caught up in another thread.

Okay Bob, you tell Vinnie to come on up anytime soon. This job needs doing extra fast. LOL He can bounce a head or two for me.

Mouse, is you Dad alright, I am sorry to hear that he is not well. There is nothing worse than having a parent sick. {{{hugs for you Mouse}}}

Well, ok is a relative term with Dad. He has a terminal illness (COPD if you know what it means, if not ask ). There is no time frame for this disease, it's different for everyone. What happens is he starts having problems and his co2 level starts to rise. If it keeps going, he gets really out of it and it can make him stop breathing. It tends to get scary. Plus he has congestive heart failure, which also affects his breathing when he starts filling up with fluid. A normal co2 level is 40, his was 140 when he got to the hospital yesterday. Needless to say that's very bad. But the only way to test it is at the hospital, it's not a simple test.

He was in and out of the hospital 5 times within a year, the last trip was last August. So he's been pretty stable for quite awhile. Mom has been thinking his meds were doing something to him, a reaction or bad mix or something. She started playing around with them a couple of weeks ago. DH and I both voiced (loudly) our disapproval of her playing doctor. Plus both Mom and I talked to him last week about going to the hospital voluntarily because he was showing signs of having problems then. He said no. But yesterday he knew he was in trouble and didn't put up a fuss.

Sorry for rambling, it's just been hard on all of us to go through it, as I'm sure you can understand.

Mouse, you can ramble on as much as you like. We have all had bad situations to get through and it is always best if you can share.

I do understand exactly, my own parents have major health issues and as you know we have just had a really bad time when Greg's mum was ill and then when she Passed away.

So if you want to tell us anything or you just want to ramble on. Do it. We will not judge, but we will be here to comfort and support.

mouse, I know where you're coming from. Both mine and Sylvia's parents are now very elderly and none of them are in good health anymore.
Over the last few years we have had many trips to the hospital, yet somehow, when it has looked all over, they have come back again.
We take it one day at a time these days. You can do more than you are doing.
Wish him well from us.
Bob, Downunder but never down.

Thanks you two! It's been kinda hard to share this with anyone other than who lives here since I've been away from work so long. It's really hard to literally watch someone die, much less a parent. My grandfather (on Mom's side) had the same thing, but I was 13 when he died. DH's mom also had it, so it's been hard for him to see it again. But he's also been helpful in helping us understand the steps. My brother just refuses to let it get to him, he won't go visit Dad in the hospital. My sister died at 6 months old and it very badly affected my brother forever.

Anyway, I also want to warn you that I may be going back to work this week because of the denial. So if I'm not here, you know why (Not that I'm happy about it )

Yesterday we went down the Gold Coast to see my parents, my mum is not 100% and even though I talk to her on the phone every day, and she tells me that she is doing alright, I can here the depression in her voice. So I had to go and check on them for my own peace of mind. Mum is very tired and she does not rest like she should and she forgets that she has a heart condition and she is not getting any younger.

While we were down the Coast we went to see some friends that we have not seen in a long time. We knew that she had breast cancer a couple of years ago and she had surgery. We were told that it was all gone, but yesterday our friends told us it is back and this time it is worse.

She is still fighting it, but you can see that it is taking it's toll on both of them. They had cut themselves off from all of their friends because they thought that everyone would not understand and they did not want pity. Anyway we told them that we are here if they need us and that we are not going away that easily. Friends are always on hand when you need someone for support.

Gee I think I will have to start rewarding my office staff. I think that the person that takes the most phone sale orders should win a gold bracelet or a gold necklace. LOL Anyone care to guess who would be the winner in my office. LOL

I got caught up in the eBay outage today so I'm going to take some time out and re-list some auctions.
I have a clause in my auctions that clearly state that if a bidder can't get to bid, the auction is null and void and will be re-listed from scratch.
The auctions that were affected were going well but could have been a whole lot better.
The biggest pain is emailing all the participating bidders and telling them that we've got to do it all again.
Hopefully be back soon.

By the way Pharlap, what kind of call center? I don't remember if you told us before...

Well, I've been slowly getting ready to start listing again. I finally have all of my pictures taken. Silly me was thinking I had to wait until the good computer was back up so I could scan them. Then it finally dawned on me the other day to get the discs when I have them processed. Duh!

I've also been looking into making my own templates. I've had my own web page before, but it was done with drag and drop. Now I just need to sweet talk DH into helping clean up all the Christmas stuff from my work area. With my luck I'll be about ready when I go back to work. I think I'll just list like 3 things a day to start LOL We'll see. I have to remember not to try to kill myself off!

I'm sorry to hear you got caught up in that today Bob I was thinkig to myself, whew, I'm glad I didn't have any up and running! By the way, what do you use for your auctions, if I may ask. And Netta, how about you? You know, I just realized I've never seen any of your guys' auctions! I wanna see, pleeeeeease?

I don't have anything for you to see at present Mouse, I stopped listing about 3 weeks ago. Well I have stopped for the time being at least. We get really busy with our business through winter and I am gearing up for that time of year.
As a matter of fact in a couple of weeks, I will not be able to post every night as when we get really busy it just takes too much out of me and I may not have time for a few days at a time. I will just have to wait and see how our season goes.

When our winter is over and I have recovered from the stress and everything from a very busy few months, I will continue to list again. Maybe in September or it could be October.

I never list a lot at a time, I usually only list about 10 to 15 items at any one time, and then I might not list every week either. This is more of a fun thing for me, then a huge money making venture. Although it does help pay for the things I purchase.

Oops, list is spelt with an i not an o.

I haven't listed anything since before Xmas so I have nothing to show either... I keep meaning to start up again but I'm really having a hard time getting back into it

Mouse - The call centre is for a mobile phone company. Basically walk customers through phone problems, billing enquiries, payments etc...
