Maybe naru'd wasn't the right word, she IS "no longer a registered user", though. But it'd be my luck that she was only suspended for 15 days or something. (BTW, the hubby just got up and said the same thing) I've never been one to get too worried about a neg - it was just a thought that popped into my head.

Mouse - I broke it washing the car of all things! I stepped just right in a little pothole in the driveway and twisted it. Rolled off the inside of my foot. Having platform sneakers on at the time didn't help matters. Actually if I didn't have 'em on I probably would have just sprained it. At first I though I DID just sprain it, but I had a sneaky suspicion that I broke it. After 2 weeks of staying off of it, and it still hurt - I went to the doctor. The first one took an x-ray and said I broke it, (the fibula) but he wanted a second opinion as to what he neede to do. (whether he needed to set it or not) I already paid him $250 for that visit, and he wanted me to see someone else that wouldn't accept payments. (no insurance) I checked with some local orthopedics and they couldn't even get me in for another 2 weeks - I was like, well by then it'll be healed! So, I ended up going to the emergency room with copies of the x-ray they took at the other place, and this guy told me it was an old injury and that I could walk on it. I TOLD him I've never broken a bone in my body, and that yes, it was old, 2 weeks old - but he wouldn't listen. There went another $300.

Goodnight Mouse sleep well.

Wow Tigerlady, they are big bucks for a few visits. These doctors' sure do know how to charge.

I think I remember reading that particular thread, now that I have seen it again.

I would take my chance on the neg.

Thanks Michelle! That was my thought exactly!

Netta - you think that could work? I think the stuff's more addicting than cigs! Although I still could go for a clove every now and then. But like I've said before, you could make just about anything sweet and I'd be hooked on it! *LOL*

Boy! I must be slowing down here - you guys sure did get a lot of typing in while I was getting my last post up. I AM starting to trip over my fingers here - I think it's getting about time for some sleep!

thoughT!!! I guess I'll be joining you guys in that speeling class!

I say we sue. You are right it is more addictive than smokes. LOL God I still crave them (the cigs) even after 5 months, well I don't think about them all the time but lately I have been craving them a lot. I think it is just the stress. I will not give in to them again. Anyway my family would kill me. LOL

Yes, they sure do! I want a REFUND!!! It's not like they DID anything besides take a picture and say "yep, you hurt it!" I tell you one thing, I'm not going back to that place again. They've just been a big waste of time every time I've gone there. Which thankfully, has only been twice. The first time I went 'cause I had a migraine so bad I was throwing up. I DON'T throw up - EVER. My mom said it was a rarity even when I was a baby. Anywho - all they did was give me a shot for the nausea, and then gave me some tylenol3 for the headache - which did absolutely NO good.

Yeah, it's the stress. It's been more than 2 years here, but I still want them. I still have that pack from when the hubby pissed me off on our anniversary - I just take it out and smell them every now and then. Mmmmm.

I can remember when I was younger, I hurt my hand. We had not been married very long and we were racing around our flat (apartment), just being idiots. Anyhow I got cornered in the kitchen and somehow I flung my hand back and it swelled up within minutes.

Hubby took me to the hospital, and they xrayed the thing and said that it was only bruised. So for two weeks I had it wrapped and could not work. When I finally went back to work, it was still very sore and a bit swollen, but I could not take too much more time off work so I went back. The day I went back to work a letter arrived to say that they had another look at my x- rays and they had found a break in my hand and one in my finger. (they looked really hard the first time )

After all that I could not let them rex-ray it because I was certain that I was pregnant (which I was), so they just plastered it up and left me for another month. Well it never healed properly and now you can feel where the broken bone is and I will probably get arthritus (not sure if I spelt that right), in my hand.

Sorry 'bout that! What do we have to do to get good AFFORDABLE health care? It seems it's an either/or situation right now!

I'm getting really buggy too! Night!

Hello is anyone out there????

Am I the only one in so far?

Mouse did you go for you torture session today.

Tiger, sorry I bombed out on your last night, I was just too tired to stay up. In answer to you last question, I do not know what is to happen with health care. We get fairly good health cover over here, but sometimes when you have to go to the public hospital it is still like a cattle call, and if they are busy I think some things are easily overlooked by the doctors'.

Maybe the need is for more qualified doctors', obviously when we have an x-ray and it is not read properly, that shows a major problem. Either they are not training our doctors' well enough or they just don't care enough or they are too busy and under staffed and under too much pressure to push the patients out fast.

I do have private health cover and I do normally go to our private doctors', but sometimes in an emergency we are forced to seek help at the public hospital, I dread these times because you never know if you are going to be fobed off with a couple of panamax and sent home, or if you are going to be treated properly for the injury or illness with which made you go there in the first place.

Alright now class, repeat after me. Your has an *r* on the end of it. LOL

Hi Nettak! How are you keeping yourself?

I'm sitting here surfing the web and munching on the beernuts that Mouse sent me... They are different to the ones we get over here. They are actually sweet tasting!!! Which is just fine by me as you have probably guessed I have a bit of a sweet tooth!!!

Good evening Pharlap.

My day was very good as a matter of fact. Took a few orders for deliveries and answered a few enquiries, did a bit of book work, and cleaned my daughter's room. Now that was a disgusting job. LOL

Are you nibbling those nuts slowly? Haha I think all of us in this particular thread, has a sweet tooth, well the only one I am not too sure about is Bob.

Speaking of Bob, he has not been around the last couple of nights, I hope he is okay. You know too much Viagra could do some harm. LOL

Hmmmm.... I've heard that Viagra and high blood pressure don't mix too well. And we all know how high Bob's blood pressure gets when there are ladies around!

Drop in Bob and let us know that you're ok

Okay so what have you been doing today Pharlap? Besides nibbling on those nuts. LOL

We seem to be the only ones' here tonight. I wonder where everyone else is, and there is still no sign of Rocker.

We miss you too Rocker. SMOOOOOOOOOOCH

I think everyone's piked out on us Nettak.

Not a bad day today, even though I was as work. The day flew by which was great. It's amazing that the previous two days at work were so busy but the days simply dragged by. And then today was fairly quiet yet it went really quickly.

I can sleep in in the morning which I'm looking forward to... it's been getting a bit nippy in the mornings lately and I will be glad to stay under the covers for a bit longer!

The colder weather is making me need to go to the loo nearly every five minutes which has never happened previous years. So it's either me getting older or I've developed diabeties (sp?) from eating the chocolate Mouse sent me

It has started to get a bit cooler through the night and in the mornings. I can't wait to start lighting the fires. But it is just not cold enough for them yet. I have been bringing bits of wood over from the big wood pile, and stacking it near both fires, so that I am ready to roll when it does get cold. I just love to sit in front of the fire.

I forgot that you have three days off, what do you plan to do with yourself, besides snuggle under the cover in the morning. LOL

No worries with the ticker. It's pumpin' and thumpin' just fine!
A mate of mine up the bush had a bit of trouble on his hands and needed some help in a hurry.
I had to go at short notice but we've got him out of strife and everything is fine now.
I just got back a little while ago and there's a bit of a back-log here but the important stuff is done, so I'd thought I better pop in.
I may have to do a few other things tonight so don't panic if i keep nipping out for a while!

Bob, Downunder but never down.
edited because I'd forgotton how to put a gif in!!!!!

Uummmmmmmmm I don't think it is age that is making you go wee wee's, well at least not yet. You are just a baby compared to the rest of us dinasours. Did I spell that right. LOL

You will probably find that you are just drinking more or if it is cold that always makes me go to the loo a lot more than usual.

You are so lucky to have an open fire! That is something that I would love to have one day in my house...It would be so cosy!

I don't have a lot planned. As we were discussing the other night I really have to stop spending so much money and knuckle down to saving so I plan to become a hermit for the next 12 months!!!

I absolutely adore reading anything I can get my hands on so I will be making my weekly trek to my favourite second hand bookshop. That's one area that I refuse to cut back on spending! It's not too bad though - heaps cheeper than buying brand new and you can always trade in...

The owner of that shop recognises me now. He's really knows a lot about books which is a great help. I don't even worry about writing down what I want to look for. I just tell him the title (I always forget author's names!!!) and he can lead me straight to it every time! What a talent! His shop is a little further away than most of the others in the area but it is well worth it for the great service

You know what I really like about the fireplaces. At night I like to see the flickering of the flames refected on the walls, I sometimes lie in bed and just watch the flames flickering from the lounge room, We have a fire at both ends of the house so it is just fantastic.

I go to the Life Line shop over at Springwood they have a really great selection of books and they are so cheap, I could not buy them anywhere else for the same price that is for sure.

Actually now that you mention Lifeline - there's one right nextdoor to the bookshop I go to!!! I didn't even think of going to Lifeline!

They would probably be 10 times cheeper! I just hope they have a decent selection... I'll check it out this week and let you know how I get on.

I don't think I'll trek all the way to Springwood just yet - I get a bit nervous driving around territory I'm not familiar with...

The best second hand bookshop I've ever been to is up at Nambour. I really want to go but it seems silly to do a four hour round trip for books! I'll have to make a sidetrip on my next stay up at Noosa which will hopefully be later this year. I absolutely adore Noosa and would live there if I could... not rich enough however
