Woweeee! Just made another sale on Bargain and Haggle! Boy, I'm lovin' this! 3 sales in one week with less than 10 items listed!! It's taken that long on BidVille to do the same, but in a 3-month+ time frame . However, I DID make a sale on BidVille yesterday too! To a totally unknown person - most of my buyers on BidVille had been repeat customers from eBay! I'm still leaning wwwaaaaaaaay towards Bargain and Haggle over BidVille!

I am still very happy with this site too...it is really exiting to check my email every day. One gal paid me MORE than I was asking because I told her about a minor flaw. You can't beat that!!!

More good stuff about Bargain and Haggle. I sold something, and sent 3 e-mails to the purchaser with no reply. The purchaser contacted Bargain and Haggle and said I evidently hadn't been receiving the emails, and Valerie in customer service emailed me to say the purchaser was sending the check.
I thought that was great
I told her how pleased I was with the site and she wrote back and thanked me and said she was there if I ever needed help. You don't get service like that ervy often!

I have had great success on B&H, I love it, and I believe if it is run correctly, it will be a competitor with Ebay...
I like it a LOT more than Ebay...
I hope they continue their great customer support, but my thinking is that as they grow bigger, their time for customers grows smaller...
I hope they can pull it off, they have a GREAT start going!!!!

I agree about customer service. It is lightning fast. I have had answers in under 30 minutes before! Try getting that on Bidville!
I'm still selling items almost daily, and getting a lot of quality offers. Its exciting to watch the site grow!

I am coming off of a listing hiatus and decided to give a few of the lesser known sites a shot.
Does anyone know if you can use HTML in the listings at bargainandhaggle.com?
Edited for typo

Okay, read the HELP section........
No, you can not use HTML other than basics like <P>, <BR>, and <I>.
Okay, listed an item. Lets see what happens.
I also posted the same item at Bidville and 321gone

Okay, I have question.
I just found this thread today and decided to give it a try. I have listed about 6 items over there and they already have page views.
I couldn't believe it! This stuff just sits that Yahoo, with no one even looking at it!
Anyway, for my question... Do you seasoned B&H sellers list for more than you will accept knowing that someone will want to haggle you down if they can? Is this the way it works?
Should I list my items for about 5.00 more than I actually will take for them so someone do the haggling bit?
Thanks!

Believe it or not I even have had someone pay MORE than I was asking! I usually have in my mind what I will accept, and sometimes put the item on at $2 or so more. I have also walked away twice from people who wanted it at half price. You never know, but it is fun!!!

Thank you for posting this! I went and found a statue that I was going to buy from a local store. The store was selling it for $39.99 and I got it for $25.00 plus free shipping! Now if I could just find the other ones that I want.

jwoodcrafts,
I always give it a little "wiggle room", but my advice is to be sure and not price it too high. If it is too high, most people won't even bother making an offer.
As for views, I added an item 2 days ago, and have already had 30 page views!
Lovin' It!

How are you guys getting your page view info? Are you adding your own counter or was there a counter option I missed in listing?

Go into Bargain and Haggle and click on Negotiations. Then on the right click on "View Items I am Selling". Then you will see the views.

Here's a good one.
I posted an item for sale at $89.99...
I would accept about $65 for it, but I figured what the heck...
Anyway, the guy makes an offer of $5.
Which is WAY low, and anyone with half a brain would know this (my cost for these items is over $40)...
I countered at $84.99, and commented that he may have read the item wrong, and thought it was something else...
Nope, he counters again at $5, no comment...
I counter again at $79.99, again stating my same comment as before...
He walks away...
5 minutes later, he makes and offer of $4!
Same thing happens this time, but he gets snotty, saying in a comment "This is all I can offer, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, WALK AWAY IDIOT!
Now, that was a little odd, so I walked away, and haven't received another bid from him yet...
I have sold 5 things, received 1 payment, waiting on 3, and the one I sold yesterday, the lady writes, and says "oooooops, I thought it was xxx"
Some people...
I told her that I still expect payment...we'll see if those pigs really can fly!

Potvin- There is a new feature that allows you to set a minimum offer amount. It doesn't allow you to set it to full price (like a reseve), but allows you to set a percentage. If the buyer doesn't offer a certain percent it rejects the offer. It should be interesting to see how well it works (you can edit your existing items and set a precentage.)

Potvin48,
If you don't get what you need, contact Bargain and Haggle Customer Service. I had a buyer like that once, and they were able to "convince" her to buy it. Payment was sent immediately.

dennisjw,
I have deleted your post because part of it was promoting your own site.
You may have a link to your webpage in your sig line, but with no promotional wording.
Sig line can be set up by going to the 'MY ACCOUNT' tab, upper right of this screen, and editing your personal information.
Good luck!

Thanks for the buyers perspective Blazer.
As a seller- since I have been on the site, I have sold approximately 60% of all items that I have listed on the site. Granted, some of these items I have had to re-list (which is free and easy), but that is a pretty incredible sell-through rate.
Does anybody know the overall system sell-through rate of Bargain and Haggle? I would have to imagine it is pretty good.

Bargain and Haggle site is pitifully slow for each page to load. On top of that I went to sell for the first time, entered all my cc info, hit submit, and my unit gets disconnected. So the second attempt clicked on sell on top of the page, didn't even get to enter the cc this time, and my unit gets disconnected again.
It can't be going that good over there if they can't afford the proper hardware, or hire the right technicians.

Hi Quickdraw29,
I have been selling on B&H for about a month now! I have not had any truble with this site accept for one time when my browser needed to be re-configured.
I don't work for this site. But I do know all you have to do is ask for help and thay are right there!
I have never been "pro anything" until
I came there! It has put the fun back into selling for me after five years of hard work!
Give it another try!
lots of hits, lots of offers and things that are funny!
GOOD LUCK!

Quickdraw,
The site has always been very responsive for me. When you say your box gets disconnected, what do you mean by this? A website cannot disconnect your modem... What are you using to get on the internet?
