nettak, A mixed grill lot but it should turn a decent profit.
Among the more interesting was an old tin-plate clockwork German train set.
Quite a good set and in nice
condition.
The really nice bit about is the
roofs of the carriages clip off
and inside the coaches have loads
of tiny tin-plate passengers.
There's even seats and a loo
that has a minature washbasin
and toilet bowl!
I also got a nice silver plated
flute and a lovely vintage brass
American desk lamp.
Another nice pick up was a hard
to get pre-WW1 Australian Bayonet
with its original scabbard. All in top
condition.
Not a lot in quantity but very good on quality.
It was well worth the hanging about.
Bob, Downunder but never down.
edited to make the thread skinnier!!

delusional?????

Bob - that train set sounds really interesting!
You'll have to post some pictures here or let
us know when you list it so we can have a peek.

Okay first you have to have an old tin,
a large one if possible, Milo size will do.
You need a fire of course, and when the fire is good and hot, put the billy of water on
to boil. When the water is boiled you throw
in a handful of tea leaves and a few gum
leaves for flavour. Give it a good stir {with a Stick} and then everyone stand back,
once you have the billy in your hand you
need to get a good grip and swing it high
and out to the side and around and around
it goes. This is just for fun really, but
some will tell you it is to get it all
mixed in and flavoured.. LOL
Then you need a good big mug and pour into
said mug and drink.

Don't they have Milo. OMG what have they
been missing out on. My poor baby Mouse,
I can't tell you what you have been missing
we grow up with milo. You need a big glass
of milk (or you can eat it straight off the
spoon), and you put 2 or 3 big and I mean big
spoonfuls in the milk and stir.
MILO is yummy chocolate powder that you put
in your milk. It has all the vitimans in it
that you could need or want. AND it is so
yummy. LOL

Mouse, billy tea made over the fire
must be swung around, or it just does not
have the right flavour.
I am telling the truth aren't I Bob,
and he should know cause he is an old bushie
from way back. LOL

It's kind of like Ovaltine but not quite. It's
coarser and only kind of half disolves in milk
which leaves this nice crunchy chocolaty stuff
floating on the top

No Ovaltine is a finer texture, and not as
nice as Milo. Milo is a course texture and
is just too nice to really explain without
you trying it first hand. We could send you
some.

Did you hear about the Queenslander
who went to Canada and got a job
as a lumberjack?
On the first day he cut down 20 trees.
On the second day he managed 10.
On the third day he managed only 5.
He complained to the foreman that the chain saw wasn't any good.
The foreman took the saw, pulled the
starter cord and said it worked fine.
The Queenslander looked at the foreman
and said " Good God, I didn't know that
bit of string made it go by itself!!"
