That's an interesting attack HJW My post if you would have taken the time to read it points out that the inequalities, injustices and terrible living conditions that exist in the inner cities are directly descended from the poor education opportunities offered by the public schools.
And yes with vouchers and school choice initiatives ANYONE could afford to send their children to schools like the one in the link I provided. Only then will the inequalities and injustices be overcome It's a shame that you don't feel these inner city children are worth the chance...

Public schools have never worked but we pour more and more money into them every year thinking that they will fix themselves.

In case you missed it, it's just another fine example of how these kids can flourish in the right system. It's the only way, nothing else has worked.

HJW,

Don't worry, you an save your tax dollars for those teachers in DC and the like without degrees. That should help.

What is the big problem with having someone without a degree teach? I have know a university professor who could not make a pitcher of lemonade with instructions on the can, and I know a man who has a research company in solid state devices employing hundreds who does not have a day of instruction past high school.
A degree shows very little about a persons abilities in the real world.

jlpiece,

I am so very sorry that my post to you at
9;30AM was deleted by Smitty at Auction
Watch. My feelings that I expressed in that post were sincere and stated in my usual straightforward manner.

I want to respectfully ask you to avoid
attacking my ability to spell, to write and
use correct grammar, to focus on an item long enough to read it and to question my
ability to think.

This is not focusing on the topic. If you
don't want to discuss the topic with me in
a civil manner and in keeping with the Auction
Watch guidelines then just don't bother.

Helen

Your post was deleted, not mine. Who isn't keeping with the guidelines?

jlpiece,

Your attacks are couched in evasive language
expressly designed to evade detection by
the moderators.

I will not do that.

So leave me alone!

HJW and jlpiece,

Your personal issues with each other cannot be hashed out in this forum. Take it to email or use the ignore button.

Everyone
HJW had a post deleted because it was personally insulting to another AW member and because it skirted AW's profanity checker.

Talk about selective moderation.

A member is called a dip____ and no informal warning is given. In another thread, someone was given an informal for referring to some posters as goody two shoes.

Our personal differences aside HJW, I did not at all agree with your post being deleted. I DID NOT find it at all offensive. I cherish peoples ability to express their opinions too much for me to be offended just because we don't all agree. The moderators should all relax a bit. After all, I think we are all adults here. Finally HJW I think we might find ourselves on the same side of an issue (lets hope we can find something else to square off on soon - I hate friendliness )

jlpiece, that is a provocative comment that borders on the edge of basic rules of etiquette. Please review the CGs and do not continue to post in this vein or you will be terminated. Thank you.
