Sorry - I can't control myself on this one.
Now, if you were
subject to this sort of harassment, I believe that you might resort
to name calling also when nothing else works
I've been using my ignore button when a certain poster has been doing the same thing to me. Works great!!!

Leaves open the question of HOW you KNOW when any poster is [supposedly] doing that TO you, LindaK.

He was able to get by with his insults by couching them in evasive
wording, designed to evade moderation
Seems this goes on a lot - guess some people get away with it, some don't.
HJW - I don't blame ya - It would've ticked me off too.
guess the italic thingy is out of order

OMG that's hillarious!!! I can't imagine not having anything else better to do besides keeping 'folders' on faceless people in 'cyberworld'. I'm just imagining it.... sweat rolling off, red face, thumbing through folder after folder........"AH HAAA.......I KNEW that's what he said six months ago......and I can prove it"!! LMAO!!!

Yep. Typists develop characteristic habits of spacing or mistyping. Comparing those can give a reasonable identification with some surety.
Some posters, particularly ones who were well trained in typing, are remarkable good at it, and have proven to be accurate more times than not.

I guess if these folder keepers go to the other msg. board(s) they have several filing cabinets.....One for AW, one for ???? ..... man, that's a full time job right there!!

I make it my policy to never, never, never, hide anywhere, especially in the H's.
I found Toke misfiled in my folder marked 101 Uses for Weed. My system is all messed up.

Oh no. There's a massive email underground identification network continually monitoring all postings whereever they may take place. It's a giant cooprative and it works to reduce the workload of any individual. Within that network there are designated archivists expert in the use of excel and access who can retrieve data from previous postings of almost anyone without regard to any thread elimination or site closure. Everything you say, and everything you've ever said is preserved for possible later use.

But sometimes posters change their posting styles to fool the masses. Or, they are what they were all along, but are just seen differently when taking on an anon name other than what they were known as before.
LOL@Meya with the toke weed how-to's! Was she files under "W"? Or "M"? lol!

Hepburn,
It's been demonstrated that even the most adept at subterfuge will slip from time to time back into known habits. That's generally all that it takes--one slip, especially if the poster has been the subject of prior careful scrutiny.

Or, the person doing the subterfuge has no desire to stay hidden, so the slips are either deliberate, or not checked prior to hitting the submit button because of the not caring.
Toke, I can think of 3 who have files. One not here anymore, one from time to time and the other just has a hell of a memory and doesnt need no stinkin' files
