Well--Canada has you beat for Big Doofuses----we have TOM GREEN as our big doofus.
But as far as the Crocodile Hunter (Steve Irwin) his doofusness is his appeal....and mark my word...once Australia fully realizes his appeal on the international stage---they'll start claiming how wonderful he is and how proud they are of him. We do that with our famous Canadians all the time. Jim Carey was a Canadian embarassment til he became Hollywood elite--but I'm having trouble believing we'll do the same for Tom Green
Heck--even Oprah had Steve Irwin on her show last week--it was called "Living Your Passion"

Hi Zazzie, we do know Steve Irwin's appeal overseas but we still do not like him, he should remember that when he is at home, he should act like a normal person and not some jumped up twerp. He tends to think he is better than the rest of us now, and we ought to know what he was like before because he lives not far from a couple of us that post here on this board. When you can see such a trumped up persona, it is hard to like him as a real person.
I can not ever see the everyday Aussie thinking he is someone special, not when we do have a lot more famous and dignified personalities out there making a name for themselves on the world stage. These are the people that I would hope the world would look at and realise that they are the true spirit of Australia.
Now come on and give us a hug.

As I said--we've got Tom Green to live down---and that's a heck of alot more than Steve Irvin will ever be.....he's latest movie just released has been called the most disgusting piece of celluloid ever produced.
I'll hug an Aussie if someone will hug a Canuck !!!

I certainly hope not everyone is all worn out we still have a day to go before the official hugging begins....this was just a prcactice run.....GET READY.
Poor Canada, to have to admit to Jim Carrey and his butt talk what a dork. IMO (notice I
didn't say Humble...nothing humble about my opinion on certain subjects.)
A lot of wonderful Canadians here in the states and I am glad they are...I also have had the pleasure of visiting North of the border and loved every minute of meeting the people and seeing the sights. Was non plused by the cleanliness of the cities..and the kindness of the folks up there. Hope to make a visit in the near future.

Kazanne look at the square bracket key and what is about it {{{ on the same key but you need to hold the cap key down.

Kaz don't put you cap lock on, just hold the capital key down, the one under the cap lock key. Look on the left of your keyboard.
Is everybody still hugging. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
