The Music Man -- my grampa used to sing Marian the Librarian to my gramma. I get all sniffly remembering them dancing and singing...

*sniff*

I can't name just one movie that makes me cry because I am also one that cries A LOT during anything remotely sad during a movie!

But I do remember one of the first movies I cried over. I was about 6 years old and I couldn't sleep so my mom let me stay up and watch TV with her. We watched that movie "Sunshine" and I cried SO hard. Anyone remember that tear-jerker?

There is another movie that makes me cry on cue. Cinema Paradiso, the story of a young boys love of movies and looking back on his memories as a man. In the final scene he views a reel of censored footage the projectionist saved for him. The priest would censor everything remotely offensive, especially a kiss. If you've seen Cinema Paradiso you had to remember it. The movie also contained Ennio Morricone's finest score in my opinion.

Life is Beautiful I was a blathering idiot by the end. Thank goodness I was alone! Also Green Mile and Carousel when Billy comes back to see his daughter and when Shirly Jones sings "You'll Never Walk Alone."

"Fiddler On The Roof"

"would it spoil some vast eternal plan if I were a wealthy man?"

And then I laugh and cry together with "Even a poor tailor deserves some happiness!"

Oh, not Jewish here, but the scene where the Mom lights the Sabbath candles, and they sing??? snuffle....

the whole movie, so rich, so beautiful to hear and watch....

what would the world be without......Mom?
