Chris --
I don't sell too much at bidbay and I have had some questions about their numbers but most of the people I have dealt with at the site have seemed fair and decent.
It seems like most of the problems on these threads are started by disgruntled people who have been suspended from both bidbay and aw chat on at least one occasion. They sound like schoolyard bullies and although I'm sure most reasonable people don't take them seriously, it makes sincere discussion about the site's pros and cons to be nearly impossible.
Why let them win and completely eliminate the topic of the bidbay site? There has to be a compromise where people can be pro bidbay or neutral bidbay or bidbay-curious and not be personally attacked. On the flip side, there needs to be a place where people can post legitimate concerns about bidbay without it turning into someone's personal crusade. I think most intelligent people are sick of the tired and immature "koolaid kids, cheerleader, rah rah lines.
Maybe 95% of the problems are caused by just a small percent of the base. Your moderators do a good job trying to keep people on track but are way too patient with people who just don't respect the requests of your moderators to not be personal. Why not just eliminate the people who aren't respecting your moderation and allow for a responsible and amicable discussion of a site's pros and cons. Let them start their own group to bash and let the rest of the people who can talk pros and cons in a responsible way stay here.

Hi everyone--
We have made our point on this issue and appreciate all of your feedback. I am going to lock this thread now. Any further discussion of Bidbay should be taken to a forum outside of AuctionWatch.
