I think if bidbay made some radical changes quickly they may have a chance.IMHO they need to count auctions honestly, get rid of bidbay bucks.
This is a recent posting from one of the most loyal bidbayers:

Thanks George!

The Bidbay Credit Card is a wonderful idea in my opinion...but the fees, even at half from what feeBay is charging I can't afford, as I haven't sold for real cash for several months now!

<"blondie><!

Why would you want to work so hard listing, writing ads, reserching, taking pics,ect.ect.ect. for NO CASH
to me swapping things for bidbay bucks is akin to....never mind...I'll just piss more folks off.So please Ebay, bill me hundreds of dollars in FVF's each and every month

Hi Barbie! I have to differ with ya! I sold over $1000.00 in items on "greedbay" as you call it in thirty days before our trip and it only cost me $100.00. I will gladly pay the fee for bidders. Still a bargain. Have you priced a classified ad lately? WOW and without even a photo! While Bidbay has a great chat board (?) and you can buy neat things if you have lots of Bidbay bucks, you all are complaining and have complained about the lack of bidders. Anyone can go to the site and scroll through the page after page after page of listing and see not one bid, unless it is BBB. And don't even get me started there since mine were illegally taken. I have set up an email acct. so anyone that wants to can email me for all the gorey details about this heist! [email protected]
I wonder if the CEO is also Democrat? I see some strong resemblances there!

Mzkittie....goner from AW?? no way!! from Bidbay....of course I'm gone from there...ceo tossed me twice for pointing out his sites short comings....and I've seen him erase posts many times that don't agree with him....I MUCH prefer a chat room where what you say can be seen and commented on by all.
I'll say it again......charge me all you want ebay I'm making CASH sales....can't do that at bidbay

The best news, Bidbay is listed as number 946 in the top 10,000 sites all over.

2. We're number two in the auction sites after ebay.

3. avg time spent/page ebay 00:46 Bidbay 2:20
4. avg time spent/user ebay 3:59 Bidbay 2:27
5. page views per user ebay 306 bidbay 63

One thing to remember, ebay years in business 6 years bidbay 11months.

ebay has (I think) 12 million users, bidbay over 2.6 million and climbing daily.

Lastly, we've contracted for 15,000,000 users, in the amount of $15,000,000 and we're uploading at the rate of 80,000 daily. We're working on expediting the process. There are many users, members waiting for a response from us as to their activation notice.

I predict that within the next six months we'll be listed in the top one hundred and as the number one auction site, I'm working on it's not (IF) it's (WHEN) I think within the year.

Thanks to everyone for being with us and please keep us updated for new features which enhances us.

Sincerely,

George

Notice that was posted the 14th of Nov. when ceo says they have 2.6 million users and leads you to think they're adding 80,000 a day and have more than that waiting to get in.
I just setup a new hotmail acct. appiled to bidbay and was confirmed in 90 seconds.....

also between the 17th and today and total users claimed on the home page hasn't changed....according to ceo's math it should be at 3.2 million today....

so glad this thread was started.

I've said it before, each is entitled to their opinion...but get a life! I have NEVER posted in this manner before, but to see people complain about sales, yet waste time complaining instead of listing and selling makes me want to say what's on my mind. Complaining about a site you have nothing to do with makes you look bad... not the site. If greedbay is so good to you... GO LIST or do something! I think it's pretty sad when grown adults spend years not growing but acting like little gossiping kids! JMHO
If you really don't care about Bidbay or certain people, don't waste so much time and energy on them.
Good Luck! I have work to do.

I have read many posts on here about bibbay by your own people accusing people of trolling. Makes no difference to me whocares if you choose not to reveal yourself.
and to the other person, how do you KNOW I have nothing to do with bibbay? I may be someone you have done business with on there. Hmmmmmmmmm

Seabh's

I think the issue of Trolls was because people using Alias' would post to these Threads with Putdowns, slandering & attacks against certain Sites (Golds & BidBay mainly) and it wasn't appreciated.
I posted here saying nothing bad about any Site nor puttting down individuals or slandering anyone.
Those of you who supposedly aren't using Alias came in after our posts in the beginning and started putting down everyone & everything pertaining to BidBay. If Gold's was mentioned here it would have been two-fold.
So there is no need for me to reveal anything. Really, "Whocares"?

Since we are on the subject on numbers, here is some real interesting ones:

EBay Shares Fall After Lehman Analyst Cuts Rating

San Jose, California, Nov. 20, (Bloomberg) -- EBay Inc. shares fell as much as 20 percent after an analyst lowered her stock rating on concern that the biggest Internet auction company's business is slowing down.

EBay fell $8.19 to $35.25 in midmorning trading after earlier touching $34.88. The stock had fallen 40 percent in the past year.

The company may have trouble meeting its plans to generate about $3 billion in revenue by 2005, partly because its main collectibles business is slowing, wrote Lehman Brothers Inc. analyst Holly Becker in a report. Chief Executive Margaret Whitman and other executives also recently sold stock, raising ``red flags,'' Becker said.

``We are concerned that the company's core business is slowing and that newer initiatives will take time and more money to build out than current estimates reflect,'' Becker wrote in her report.

The analyst cut her rating on the San Jose, California-based company's shares to ``neutral'' from ``buy.''

Becker previously had expected EBay would be acquired if its business slowed. However, the recent stock declines of its most likely buyers, America Online Inc. and Yahoo! Inc., make this less likely, she wrote. America Online has tumbled 37 percent this year and Yahoo has fallen 77 percent.

EBay, which auctions everything from Cadillacs to Ginsu knives, saw several key productivity measures decline in the third quarter, Becker said. These included auctions per user, online revenue per user and gross merchandise sales.

EBay officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

All you ebay and Yahoo fans be sure when you reach 10,000 feedbacks that you get your ink pen, so that you may sign the certificate of stock!
