Which were you - the oldest, youngest, middle or only child? I'm curious to know if I've guessed right about the various posters here.

I'm the oldest, with two younger brothers.

Youngest of 2, but with an 8 year gap so I'm almost like an only child. Did you guess right on me too?

Can't we have one thread that doesn't go political? Maybe the Guru is moderate.

Mouseslayer: Well, I knew you probably weren't the oldest.

Gravid is obviously an only child.

Youngest of 3, with a twist. The next oldest is 19 years (yup, that's nineteen years) older than me, and the oldest 7 years older than her (26 years older than me). The oldest was married & had 2 children before I was born (my mother & sister were pregnant at the same time!). The middle sister married & moved out when I was 2. So technically, I am the youngest child, but lived like an only child. Weird but my life!

Oldest of 2.

My mom is also the oldest (but of 3) and her middle sister is THE example of a middle child. At least we thought so, until someone told us that with their ages (each is 7 years apart) that each one *should* fall under the 'oldest' catagory. So, given that, we decided that the middle one is just a nut.

............tell me what you think I am, then I will tell you if you're correct. What? Speak up or I'm telling. This is an interesting discussion! Now I'm wondering if anyone I know in the real world answered above! We don't share our AW names so that we may speak all the more freely.

I'm the youngest of 5 (girl, girl, boy, girl, girl). The first three were born within 3 years after my parents married, then there was a 13-year gap before my sister came, and then I was 2 years later. (We're not Catholic or Mormon--my parents just liked kids!)

Didja guess correctly, stockticker?

Without eBay, I might have a real life...

Youngest. Also only, sort of. My sister and brother are 18 & 16 years older than me, respectively.

Well, I was the youngest of three girls for 7 1/2 glorious years. Then HE came along. My brother. changed my life forever. Ruined. Yes, ruined the good thing I had going. I was never the same.

Then something even worse happened [if you can believe there is anything worse!] My parents were divorced when the interloper was only 9 months old and then my dad remarried and had two more children. THE NERVE!

Anyway, I guess that makes me the youngest, oldest, middle child.

Did ya guess that one oh Grand Guru?? LOLOLOL

Irene, I was sure you were an oldest child.

As an after thought, if you are married, who did you marry?

I married an oldest with an 7 year gap followed by twins. We have power stuggle issues because we both like to be in charge.

I think I fall into the middle child section. I am #6 out of 10. My parents did not have a TV and apparently the radio reception was not too good either....

ashadowdancer, I understand where you are coming from, we have 8 girls and 2 boys.

What is the mix in your family Enchanted

I was just thinking about this and now I have to say that although I am a middle child, I am also an older child (just like the oldest) because I am almost 10 years older than my youngest sister and I am 17 years older than my youngest brother. Is it any wonder I get confused sometimes.
