JMO and please no one have to go outside, smoke and cool off. Smoking irritates your heart and lungs and could kill you. Is my opinion worth dying over?

You must be bored. And have an inflated ego to think you have such an effect. Are you going to thrill us with your wisdom here at AW like you did recently at another place that you are no longer welcome at?

Oh my, temper temper!

And which place would that be honey? I'm welcome at any chat board except the one I chose not to be welcome at and they're an auction site that can't be mentioned here.

Are we supposed to be bringing other chatboard conversations here to AW? I realize you're fairly new to these forums March 2001, but I've been here since January 1, 1999 and I only have 1167 posts! Talking about having an inflated ego and being bored, you have 1166 posts (mostly opinionated) in only 4 short months! That's nothing to crow about darling.

Why don't you just hobble back to those other boards that you love to discuss and bring here and post your opinions of me there? I'm sure you'll fit right in with the riffraff there.

Don't address me anymore. I don't need your prissy remarks.

mtnmama and hepburn,

Please see my post in this thread:

Also, please remember that what may or may not happen at another site is not relevant here.

Ok, so I have had a day to rest and relax.

HepburnI am sorry. I disagree with most of what you say, but I shouldn't be hateful towards you. I have dealt with many people like you in the "real world" and have never lost my temper like I have with you. I try to make people question what they believe. I think I am much more effective in person, my written skills suck. I don't want you to change what you believe. The world would be boring if everyone believe the same thing.
I have learned that most people believe what they are taught by their parents or church and do very little thinking of their own. Whether it pertains to abortion, God, politics, or whatever else. I don't think TV, music or movies has very much to do with it.

TO all those who like Temptation Island I'm sorry I called you trash. Just because I don't like what a show stands for doesn't mean I have to call the people who watch it trash. I don't like it because it basically sets out to destroy one of the things I hold sacred which is marriage. Hell, I don't believe that you should even consider marriage if you are the kind of person that would even think of going on a show like that.

Dilbert is a cartoon character who works in a cubicle for an office. He's depicted as kind of a "poor working slob," left in the dark about a lot of things. I don't know about the Drew Carey show as I only have seen it advertised and have no desire to watch it. I don't watch that much TV. I guess my husband and I would rather spend our free time talking to each other and taking walks than sitting in front of the tube ridiculing everyone and everything. He gets so little time off that doing anything like that is a waste of our time together.

Lenny Bruce is a "comic" from way back. He was very "dirty" for those days, and I suppose if he came back to life today, he would be okay per the industry standards.

I wish I could be that noble(not sarcastic). I am a big TV/movie person. I don't watch that much TV because there is never anything on. I love the news shows like Dateline, 48 hours, etc. I also like TLC "Trauma in the ER(?)". I have recently discovered that I like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". I like weird shows like "Freaky Links" which was just now taken off and "Beyond Belief" which has aired sporadically since '98. The only things I watch every week is "Sex and the City" and "Friends". I try to watch anything on ghosts or hauntings because I am weird like that.

I'm not noble for not watching TV.

We like to watch the hauntings shows and things like that too. Documentaries, travel channel, Discovery, TLC but not on a regular basis. There's nothing more important to us than our relationship of 22 years. I guess it's what keeps it healthy and going.

To be honest, when I was working full time outside the house, I never even turned on the TV. Just too much to do in the evenings and I'd rather spend time on the Internet anyway. I talk to my son who's away at college and talk to alot of international friends.

Not to say there's anything wrong with watching it, we just don't make it a habit.

Now my daughter on the other hand, is usually glued to it when she's home. She's a big sci-fi buff. Drives us crazy.

Thanks for your Dilbert explaination. I think I know who you mean now. Maybe he HAS a dog...not sure.

As for tv, I just have TOO many other things to do. Computer I can do because there are real people in this box. Otherwise I have to make something, organize something, read, grown something, clean something, straighten something, cook something, write something. Last night I carved erasers into rubber stamps...LOL. Unless it's for a nap (I do that often), I never go in the living room but to pass through and say "clean this mess up" and keep walking.

ANYTHING is better than sitting and staring! I do tv about as well as I do dr. office waiting rooms. It's SO uncreative! When I have SO VERY seldom, watched a 2 hour movie, I can't get up when it's over. I am just a stiff crippled zombie!

On second thought, I don't like real people at all. Real people bore me to tears. It's more that here I am topically in control of my most immediate interests and I have to click to make it GO.
I am selfish.

and fidgety.
