I WAS SCAMMED OUT OF 861.00 FOR A LAPTOP I BOUGHT THRU AMAZON AND BECAUSE I WAS 2 DAYS LATE GETTING THEIR PAPERWORK SUBMITTED THEY FLATLY REFUSED TO COVER THE ITEM WITH BUYERS PROTECTION INSURANCE. I INFORMED THEM THAT I WAS LATE DUE TO WESTERN UNION NOT PROVIDING THE PROOF OF PAYMENT DOCUMENTS. I EMAILED AMAZON AHEAD OF TIME (several days in advance) STATING THAT I WAS WAITING FOR THE PAYMENT PROOF. I RECEIVED THE PROOF 2 DAYS AFTER THEIR 60 DAY LIMIT. It is bad enough that the auctions insurance doesn't cover the full amount anyway but to deny a valid claim for this reason should not be allowed. I WILL NEVER BUY THRU OR FROM AMAZON AGAIN!
I was a good music customer prior to this. This was my first auction experience and If I could file a complaint against amazon I would. DON'T COUNT ON BUYER PROTECTION INSURANCE OR ANY TYPE OF HELP FROM THE AUCTIONS. Any of them, they all have the same attitude and unbending policy towards fraud committed by their sellers. That policy is: TO BAD SO SAD FILE BY BUT NOT BEFORE 60 DAYS AND THEN ONLY GET 225.00 OF 861.00!!!
