On eBay I sold a nice metal Marlboro Man Sign to a user named PostModGuy. He dragged his feet paying, sent a check, and it bounced. I had foolishly sent him his beautiful sign before waiting for the check to clear. My bank charged me $20 too. I emailed him and called him. He promised I'd have the money, in the form of a money order, within four days. That was over 2 months ago. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. SELLER BEWARE!!!
Sincerely,

2 years ago there was a manufacturing guy from aol,i think it may be manufact-guy or something, anyway he bidded on a book of mine of american painters and never send payment.
later someone email me and asked if i have dealt with him,i said just one book,he told me FBI was looking for him for illegal activities in paintings, cant recall whether he stole them or tried to sell them, anyway his name comes to manufacturing guy,or its abbreviation.

It is true. PostModGuy apparantly is no longer registered on eBay...good to know, but he could register under a new id of cours. The moral of the story is basically not to accept checks. Even if you hold them for clearance and they bounce you still have to pay your bank the fee.
Sincerely,

No, PostModGuy was never registered on eBay. Noone has ever taken that username. Ebay keeps usernames on file, even when they become NARU.

How do we inform ourselves and each othre of buyers/sellers that are not worthy of anyone's business? Does AuctionWatch at least keep some record of users names in case it is needed for an investigation?
