You loose.
They will probably freeze your account and claim some lame excuse that you did not follow their ever changing rules on how to do a chargeback.
If you hav any money in your account, take it out first.
If you have a linked checking account, remove it from their site.

I filed a charge back and won! PP kept sending me long emails asking why I didn't go through them first. They never answer emails with anything but a canned response. So I have a canned response for them. My reply was always the same. Verbatum, it says "So?"
DO NOT go through PP first. go through your bank and let them take care of it. PP will just give you the run around (as usual) probably in hopes of getting you to forget about it.

Everytime there is a chargeback on a credit card, the credit card company takes the money from the company's account. If Chargebacks reach a certain level (I have heard 5%), the company is charged a Fine, on top of losing the money in the chargeback. The fine can be as much as $100 PER CHAREGEBACK... This can quickly run into the millions of dollars. No wonder Paypal wants you to go through their procedures. They can credit accounts for free as much as they want.
