I really could use some advice and help in finding a wholesale company that do not require a lot of licenses. The venders that I checked out in our Vendio seller resource requires so much data to do business with them. The companies appears to have exactly what I need to keep my inventory replished, yet the chances are low in my working with them.
Are there wholesalers that I can do business with that is much more reasonable and reliable. Help Please!!!!!

Especially anything out of a catalog called "The World of Products" you ain't gonna be able to give away free on feeBay!

Tom is right. One of the catagories I sell in is riduculously overstatured but I like the products. I went out and found the company that is the most difficult to deal with. Broken english (even their catalog is in their native language), foreign wire transfers as their only accepted form of payment, really bad website (no seriously... it's horrible!!) you name it. The result though is that I have product that no one else in the catagory has and my sell thru rate is twice that of my competitors.

Take the time, make the effort, and take a chance - you gotta take a few risks to get ahead in this market.

And let the lurkers in on the market... never

MC - Find something that you really like or a couple products that you really believe in then look at their packaging and see who is listed as the distributor and contact them. Warning though, be prepared to present some sales avenue other than ebay. Because of the discount nature of ebay most distributors/manufacturers are not wild about selling direct to ebay sellers since low priced saturation devalues their product value on the retail market as well.

go to a trade show ,biggest ones are in NYC,Atlanta and Los Angelos.
Present yourself with business card and do not mention Ebay.
You can place your order with them right there or take a catalog home and study it.

A vendor's license is fairly easy to get. At least in Ohio it is. I paid $25 for mine. An EIN or Tax ID is also easy to get. You can get your business license and other necessities on your own by visiting your state's web site. No need to hire an expensive attorney. We did that at work and it cost us $9,000 for something I could have done for my hourly wage.

Cheryl,

And the lawyer probably had a para-legal do it for an hourly wage.

LOL, and then they want you to take them seriously on cost cutting measures, right?
