Evidently a sale of mine in Canada, 75 days after they gave me positive feedback , has decided that the purchase was not authorized. PayPal notified me and said I had three days to verify with tracking and etc. delivery of this sale to the registered address, (which is the address I mailed it to). I did insure the sale and have the the paperwork at home 2800 miles from where I'm visiting my daughter. Three days isn't much time to defend myself. This particular eBay user is no longer registered with eBay. I guess my question is, for sales to other countries is there a better company than PayPal to handle payment transaction? Thanks, K

www.bidpay.com (owned by Western Union)
is pretty much risk free to the seller.

You might want to post upstairs in the eBay
Outlook, to see if others have more suggestions.

Hope this helps.

Edited because I didn't want to bump the smilie thread.

K, your positive feedback should be enough proof to PP that the customer recieved their item.

If YOU live in the USA & the buyer lives in CANADA, & you accepted PayPal -- you be SOL if the buyer sqwaks!

PayPal will yank the moola because you shipped OUTSIDE the USA:

PayPal automaticly assumes the seller is at fault - after all we pay all the fees and not the buyer ;-(

You need to refund the buyer promptly as all non-US sales are not protected if via PayPal (aka the fraudster's friend), then provided you shipped via USPS, file mail fraud charges against PayPal and the buyer jointly, and ask the attorney general to file RICO charges against PayPal for interstate fraud. This is just for starters of course...

Thanks for your help, I had noticed that there are a few sellers that specify for other countries to use another company than PayPal. I think it was www.bidpay.com and if that has less risk, I'll sign up. This wasn't a very large sale but it really pointed out to me how vulnerable I was with PayPal. Thanks again, K
