Dear auctions.com Member:
Auctions.com has decided to shut down the auction site on August 31, 2000.
All open auction activity will cease the day before, August 30th, at Noon
EDT. Auctions currently scheduled to end at a later time will be
re-scheduled to close by Noon EDT on August 30th. Bidding activity is
permitted to continue until this time. Members may list new auctions
until Wednesday at Noon EDT, August 23, 2000. After that time, no new
listings will be accepted. In addition, account replenishments will no
longer be accepted.
If you have an account balance, you will receive a refund. As a courtesy
to our currently active sellers, auctions.com will forgive the sales
transaction fees for any auctions that successfully close after Wednesday,
Noon EDT, August 23rd.
Auctions.com will continue to maintain Customer Service support via email.
Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance to you regarding
the status of your member account or your auction activity by emailing

While this is a great disappointment to all of us at auctions.com, we want
you to know we enjoyed working with you and thank all of our members for
your support.
