Hi all:

Until about 10:30 this morning, the folks from eastbay in the west were here. Now we are.

Where?

http://www.USAToday.com

Yes, right there on the front under the "snapshot" graphic under "auctions"... click and you'll go right to AU.

They've even made us a special page that you can reach under the "classifieds/auctions" link. It will take you here: http://www.usatoday.com/marketpl/auctions.htm

We're only two clicks away (to marketplace and then under classifieds/auctions) on every page on this mega site.

The lesson? It just takes a little time to get all the ducks in a row.

Pat

OK, this can't be a coincidence! This morning (7:30am MST) I was staring at a list of 35 BIG, FAT 0's and saying unhappy things about AU. At 3pm, I check and have bids on 2 items. YAY! Now this evening, I read this announcement, click the links (USAToday takes WAY too flippin' long to load, BTW) and for the heck of it check My Universe.

After picking myself up off the floor, I digest that I now have 7 auctions with bids. All of the bidders have 0 ratings, which indicates to me that they may very well be new. I am SO thrilled! OK, I know this is not the least bit impressive to the powersellers out there, but considering that this is the most items I have EVER had bids on, it is a big deal to me. I hope they all follow through (may the auction gods smile on me).

Right now I feel like giving all of AU a GREAT BIG HUG and I apologize for the harsh words this morning!

BTW, I am [email protected] if anyone wants to share in my joy. Just don't laugh at how small my riches actually are.....

Like I've said before, we're all only one click away from success.

Good news and good luck

Recon2000:

Thanks for the confidence.

For some reason the story of John Paul Jones and the Bon Homme Richard comes to mind.

The story, for you who slept through history class, is of one of the US's greatest Naval victories.

In that battle Jones' ship, hardly a match for the British Serapsis, was hit and badly damaged as he maneuvered the Bon Homme Richard ever closer.

Seeing the damage, the British commander asked for Jones surrender to which he replied, "I've not yet begun to fight."

Continuing toward the British ship, Jones was able to board and utlimately defeat the British, taking their ship as his sank.

So what does this bit of history have to do with online auctions.

It may be best said, "You ain't seen nothing yet."
