Auction Universe, Yahoo, Amazon, cVel, and many other up and coming auction sites may reap the benefits of e-Bays recent move to charge EVEN MORE for auctions. Looks to me like other auction sites would be ripe to step in and re-work their systems a bit, charge a modest fee, and pick up the disgruntled e-Bay sellers produced by the latest move by e-Bay to charge $1.00 to sellers for listing reserve auctions. Many e-Bay sellers are looking for an alternate venue right now, and e-Bay sellers are already used to taking it up the ying yang from their server, so any new site that at least PRETENDS to listen to the customers is going to seem like a SAINT to those of us who are used to e-Bays antics and excessive site down time. Maybe all the newer auction sites should send a big THANK YOU to e-Bay for providing them such a huge base of prospective new clients who are no longer virgins after having been involved in non-consensual intercourse with e-Bay . Nina pepi-anna on e-Bay and looking elsewhere.

Sagafarm:

I understand the opportunity and as a policy we welcome all responsible users, both buyers and sellers.

You asked if we have a willingness to listen. Certainly we do.

We have been advertising our site here on AuctionWatch for more months than any one.

To show you that we're want your business, look for our banners running here in the message forum. Many of them (about four out of five), if you click on them, will register you with 100 free listings.

If you're already registered on AU and your credits have expired, don't fret. Just post [email protected] and tell them Pat the auctioneer sent you and they'll credit your existing account with 100 free listings.

Thanks for the post.

Pat

You'll see I can act expeditiously. Banners offering users 100 free listings should be starting before the sun sets ... or maybe rises

Way to go Pat. That is a great banner. I hope it is up and running at the Honesty site to. Ebad lowered it to 50 cents but that is 50 cents more then I'll pay. I refuse to pay a auction site to crash all the time and leave me stuck holding the bag. I'll list some of my new items at AU this week. Hope you went after the bidder's to.

Hi Heygrape:

Good to hear from you. I'm still awaiting official word but my best guess is that you didn't state your agreement with our revised terms of service (this past spring).

My expectation (not a promise) is that if you do logon and reply to request for agreement with the new TOS and "change" your rating status (if it has been changed), your rating and prior positive feedback will be restored.

Actually, your's is the first case I've run into like this.

Still, that is my best guest and this would be the first thing I would try. Let me know how it works.

Pat

PS: If I hear anything "official" that is different, I'll let you know. Good to hear from you!
