Sellers. Quit acting like victims. Send a message to these auction sites. If you want our business, offer us a REAL alternative to eBay's high fees.

And what exactly do you consider a REAL alternative??
Considering that I haven't sold anything at ebay for almost a year because I use AU/Auctions.com it is a REAL alternative for me. NO basic listing fee and FVF of 1/2 (or less) of ebay (or amazon). Sometimes I get envious of all the bidders at the other place, but then I look at their 100+ pages of listings in just one of my selling categories and I realize that it is better to swim in a medium pond than get lost in the Pacific Ocean.

My mistake. Free listing and 2.5% at auctions.com So I would agree. Auctions.com is a REAL alternative to eBay.

We are a real alternative and we'd welcome you to the fold.
The pricing that Magik87 talked about is for our basic auction service. It is 2.5 percent flat and we'd be glad to add bold and italic listing enhancements -- not for $2.00 a pop, but for 25 cents each
You might also want to check out or BidSafe Gold membership. This package, on sale for $9.95 through the end of the century, is an annual program that will provide shipping insurance for all items bought or sold on AU ... and allow you to offer credit card acceptance and escrow for a flat 3.5 percent additional fee.
To see what kind of savings you would enjoy, I created and posted a comparison chart here on AW just before auctionuniverse.com changed to auctions.com.
The chart compares the cost you'd have to pay to list an item on auctions.com, eBay and Amazon using either iescrow or 1-Click Bid as the credit card acceptance method and also "insure" the item shipped.

I've tried many different auction sites and the only one that I've liked and that actually is reasonable and has real customer service is ehammer.

I'd say they're reasonable! ... eHammer home of the $1.25 bold and the $1.00 second category listing. (auctions.com charges 25 cents for a bold/italic listing and up to four relistings are free.)
I could find no area where eHammer has lower rates than auctions.com and numerous areas where ehammer is much more expensive.

Sounds like when someone says somthing you don't like about your site you assume they are spamming well guess what I've also tried your site and it's not that great...I'm not saying it's bad but now that I see your attitude I'll never use auctions.com agian and I will be passing the word along

I didn't see anything that kittcat97 said that had anything to do with auctions.com. No comparisons, no "I like this here, but you site doesn't have....". It was just someone who said they only like ehammer, in which case maybe they should post to the ehammer board instead. I assume since they were suspended, that similar messages were being posted to other boards as well.
I think it was more trolling than spamming, but that is my opinion.......

A lot of folks have said a lot of things about auctions.com (auctionuniverse) over the past couple of years. Not all of them have been complimentary.
To the best of my recollection, in all that time, I've never accused anyone of spamming - including KittCat. (I was one letter shy of pronouncing it but I didn't go all the way.)
The truth is it was AW's moderator, Bob Mill, that sealed Kittcat's fate and put the "M" on the end. BTW: diimondgrl, I didn't report Kittcat to Bob either. His action was taken because of Kittcat's other posts elsewhere.
