I'm getting the same thing. Auctions took 1/2 hour to launch. No WBN's have gone out yet on auctions ended 1/2 hour ago. Relists haven't relisted. PAINFUL! This latency can't be blamed entirely on eBay. Vendio has been slow all day!

Hello,
If your ever wondering where the slowness is coming from, bookmark THIS page, as we graph the time delays in the API system.

It does look like they are having some pretty large delays in their API system this evening.
I would suggest scheduling your items to list earlier in the evening to compensate for these delays.
Regards,
Christopher

fashionforyou - unfortunately there isn't anything we can do at this time. The only workaround would be to cancel the listing from posting here in Vendio and going to ebay directly to list from there instead.
Since listing via eBay.com directly isn't part of the API service we have to submit your items through, you wouldn't see these types of delays.
Trust me, this would be a WHOLE lot easier if it was simply a Vendio problem. Unfortunately, and im sure isn't too hard to imagine, eBay runs into issues with processing the unusually large volume of items this time of year. (IE Sunday nights leading up to XMAS) - try and schedule your items a bit earlier to help compensate for this issue.
Regards,
Christopher

Easy to blame eBay, isn't it? However, you cannot blame them for VENDIO WBN's NOT GOING OUT. It's going on 45 minutes and not all of mine have gone out yet. Can't use eBay to blame that on!

lennonhall - Part of the problem with delays in their API system is that we don't get the notices from them stating that item XXXX has closed and [email protected] is the winning bidder.
Its 100% related, but if you just want to hear us say it, ok, its our fault. I know nobody likes to hear us blame eBay when things go bad, but these API issues really are the biggest type of problem where we have little to no control.
Sometimes there are things we can do to aid in this process and when we locate them, we put them into practice. At the end of tonights delays we will (again) review everything that happened to see if anything on our side can be changed to help with it in the future. This is something we will continue to do in order to best prepare for these holiday delays that are so common.
Thank you for your patience while we strive to provide the best possible service given the current systems and limitations.
Regards,
Christopher

I posted over 50 photos - and a very long description - I am not just going to go directly to ebay and list from there. --- This auction took me 10 hours of work today, so when I push launch - I expect it to lauch! And I talked to some of my friends that launch throu ebay and they are having no problems whatsoever. --- So I want someone from vendio to go directly to my pending auction and get it launched! I make over $500/week and if this doesn't get fixed I'm swtiching auction management companies!!!

There is really a problem with the Vendio site. I just tried to return to the Control Panel and it took over 2 minutes for the page to load (I timed it). I have a cable modem and other sites are loading just fine. 2 minutes for your page to load means you're having issues you need to check out and doesn't have anything to do with eBay. You having these problems over at Andale too?

Yeah.. about 20-30 minute delays in launching from Vendio. Stuck in Processing...per usual. It's been worse. I will take this over every time Ebay sponsors some promotional discount, then the Vendio is far worse. Might as well shake a Magic 8 Ball for the answer when your auctions will launch.. the answer will be as accurate and more satisfying

Hello,
Judging from the posted graphs it does seem that as soon as the spike in the API delay/traffic dropped, no reports of 'processing' delays were seen.
While the increase in traffic on the Vendio website/servers may have caused some slowness navigating the website in general, this would not have any effect on the delay in items 'processing' once reaching the eBay launch queue.
fashionforyou - that is correct, listing directly from the eBay website would be bypassing their API system and would not see such delays as a result. Your item would have long since posted, so no worries about simply getting the item launched - it may have simply been delayed in its originally scheduled start time as a result. These delays wouldn't stop your items from posting, just delay the start time you had originally set.

Christopher

Christopher,
Let's assume (only for a moment) that we agree that API issue is an eBay issue only.
What about extremely slow Vendio responses to INTERNAL search, lunch commands, pictures retrieval, etc. Vendio is just slow.
It is obvious that you need more servers or computing power for your databases. You have sold too many subscriptions or not invested enough money in hardware. Or both.
