I was sending my buyer the WBN - I sent in about 3 times, and he finally emailed to tell me he keeps getting a bunch of letter and numbers from me. He sent me a copy of it. Here's a small sample:

Can you please explain why my WBN was being received that way? If you need the item, it was for #120061209906

Hello Toyspast,

Is this isolated? I have heard of no other reports of this kind of email receipt. My guess is your buyer has some option setup on his email client that is making it read this way. You may want to ask him if he can accept emails with HTML attached. In the text that he sent you, was the text of your email actually in it?

Ed

It happened again with Item 120066949053 I'm sure it's happened more - the buyer just doesn't bother to email and let me know. Many times buyers just go thru eBay/Paypal to pay and sometimes the email just goes in their Spam Folder. I'd like this issue to be investigated further.

Hello Ed, FYI: Just wanted you to know the same thing happened to me two weeks ago...a customer forwarded my Vendio message, which was scrambled as previously described. His email return address was from AOL, which I believe we've had problems with before. I wrote back after unchecking the HTML in my post-sale message and all proceeded smoothly afterwards. Jim

Hello again,

So just to be clear, emails moving into a spam folder and this text issue are not related. Vendio sends out many emails each day. This sometimes triggers certain ISP's to see our emails as spam. We are usually pretty quick to contact those ISP's and correct the issue. If you see that any of your emails are being captured as spam, let us know and we will investigate.

RE: Text...So as far as we can tell this weird text is generated when read by the buyers email client, not the HTML we are sending out. Unfortunately, we cannot duplicate what your buyers are seeing. I will ask our engineers to research this further, and any additional information you could provide would be quite helpful.

Regards,

Ed
