Hi: I just discovered that eBay is sending out TWO end of auction messages to buyers (I got them today when I bought something). The first one tells me my winning bid but NOT the shipping amount and urges me to contact my seller for the information I need in order to pay. This is stupid!
Where can I go in my account/preferences to disable "checkout," in case that's the culprit?

I have a question also.
With the new Vendio platform will this new checkout system work for the "new" requirements for 3rd party checkout at ebay.
I know this was announced previously by e-bay but we have not seen and additional info on this.
I remember before when using checkout redirect thru Vendio I did run into problems with the customers and with paypal and multiple accounts. At that time there was the Vendio redirect of emails to a Vendio name but that is now gone.
So could you enlighten us on this new checkout so we can also be enlighten as to its use.
thanks
roger

Hello Roadsmith,
Was this for your account or a different seller's account? Were these eBay emails, or Vendio emails? If one of these was a Vendio email, and it was a different seller's account, then it might have been a Buyer Appreciation email. The free Buyer Appreciation service has the option to send a thank you email to both bidders and buyers. Currently your Buyer Appreciation service is only set to send these emails to bidders. So you are not sending the Buyer Appreciation emails to buyers.
I checked your Vendio account and it doesn't look like you are using Vendio checkout currently.
Hello rpm757,
The checkout for the new version of our service works in a similar way to the checkout for the version of our service you are using on your account "rpm757". I have no information available on any potential future changes to the checkout, but we will obviously comply with any eBay rules and let you know ahead of time of any changes.

Hi, Nathan: These are eBay e-mails, and frankly they're pretty stupid. They are not Vendio Buyer Appreciation messages. I've never seen it before, and I wouldn't have except that I bought something (I usually just sell) and was alerted to this problem.
Not sure if eBay has unilaterally given me some option I'm not aware of, and I didn't know where, in My Account on Vendio, I could find it.

Hi Roadsmith,
Unfortunately, since they are being sent by eBay there isn't much that we can do here. I checked the eBay message boards and there were a few other reports of the problem. I saw that you had posted this in the Technical Forums, but I found another reference in Seller Central (with a few more replies). I am afraid it doesn't have much more specific information about the cause, but it at least shows that there are other people having the same problem:
