Quick question. My state's sales tax is going up on the 1st. If I re-set the preferences on the 31st, will it be automatic whenever anyone purchases something and goes through either the eBay or Vendio check-out with the new rate? Or will items that have already launched with the old rate continue until it's re-listed?
Unfortunately, the items that had already launched with the old rate will continue to be charged the old rate. When you relist them, you will need to edit them and change the amount that you are charging for sales tax in the Vendio listing form.

I believe in the past, you were able to re-set info so all the past auctions could be revised with the new information all at the same time. Then I wouldn't have to update every re-used auction. Are you still able to do that? I've added the new tax info (in two spots) and would love if you could click a button and add it so if I re-list I don't have to remember to do it. If you can't, that's okay too, but it would be nice if you can do that for me.
This is something that we can do. Please update your Global Preferences to the Sales Tax information that you would like. We can then apply that Sales Tax information to the listings for you. (Please confirm that you are ready for us to run this tool now).
Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan, I could also like to take advantage to your offer. I have set my new rate to 9.25% which is the new California Sales tax in my county. If you could apply this to my auctions as they are relisted (I list til canceled) it would save me a ton of work. (manually closing every auction adjusting the tax rate and then relaunching).
Thanks,
Dave

Hi, Nathan:
I have updated the rate in the preferences section. I list the sales tax where you're supposed to and also in the "Ship From Location (City/State)", so would appreciate if that could be updated as well.
By the way, I had received notification that this COULD NOT be done, but it looks as though that answer was revised. However, I got no notification of that. Another seller responded that that wanted it also, which made me look again at the thread. If they had not done so, I wouldn't have known you changed the answer. I'm just letting you know in case you could add a notification in case of a revision OR maybe you should just add a comment especially when you're waiting for a response!

Hello Dave,
Unfortunately, the Good 'Til Canceled listings do not officially get relisted (they are renewed), so it is not possible for us to make this change. You would need to cancel the listings first, and then relist them. If you do decide to do this, let us know once the listings are canceled (we can run the tool to update the closed listings, and then you will not need to edit them prior to relisting).
Hello Toyspast,
I apologize for the confusion. We will be more careful in the future.
It is unfortunately not possible to update the "Ship From Location" section in bulk.
We have begun the process of updating the sales tax section, but due to the large number of closed listings in your account it is not yet complete. We will continue to work on this and let you know once it is complete. I apologize for the delay.

Hello Dave,
If you edit the items in eBay and they are currently setup as GTC listings, the changes will carry over into the next 30 day duration as eBay does the actual relisting of the item and will use the data they currently have on file. (which would include your changes)

Nathan, I just ended all my store items (183).
If you could update them with my new tax rate (9.25%) and let me know when I'll relist them.

Hello Toyspast,
Unfortunately, due to the large number of closed listings that are saved in your Vendio account (over 40,000), it will not be possible for us to run the tool to update the sales tax information. The large number of closed listings is too high, and it is not possible for our patching tool to complete the process.
