I have five GTC auctions that did not automatically renew and when I tried to re-launch them have errored out and I don't know why. Please examine and tell me what the problem is.

Hello Toypast,

It appears that what happened was a simple communication error from eBay. So simple in fact, that when I checked the error reason on the listings and ran an eBay preview to ensure all was well otherwise, the listings left error status and properly rescheduled.

Our apologize for the confusion.

George

Hi, George. Thanks for your reply, but I re-tried and they still error out. If you can launch them, please do so or tell me what I need to do to have them successfully launch.

Upon further investigation, it turns out that the five GTC listing WERE launched. I found that out when one of them just sold!! Why would an error happen when an item launched? And when something like this has happened before, the error message was usually that the launch could not be verified and to check and see before trying to re-launch again. This is a little disturbing since if I had managed to re-list them, I would have double listings, but only one item, so I would have one or more angry buyers down the line. Please look into this matter so it doesn't happen again.

Another problem with these five. The one that sold is not appearing in PSM. I tried to "track" it but nothing happened. And I don't want to use the import feature because I had a very bad experience with that in the past. How can I get that item to appear in my PSM?

Hello,

We'll check into this further, but can you let me know the item number for this listing you tried to track but are not locating in post sale?

Regards,
Chris

Hello,

This item appears to already be tracked in your account and showing the post sale management keys beside it.

Chris

Yes, that item finally showed up. I now tried to track the other 4 into my active file, but so far, approx. 24 hours later, they still have not shown up. Does the track feature not work for active listings? I want to make sure I know if one of those four sells, so would like it in my active file.

Ok, now they show up. Why is it I post a message here and then they show up? Is there some connection? Are you moving them somehow? I'd love to know.

Hi there,

There is no connection between this message board and the items appearing. Normally it only takes a few minutes for an imported item appear. However, there are times when the process is delayed for some reason. If this happens again, please let us know.

The initial errors that you encountered generally indicate a problem with the eBay API. Sometimes we don't get a confirmation that an item successfully launched (this is why they appeared in an error state, even though they were launched.) This is relatively infrequent, but it does happen. I would recommend checking eBay to make sure the items were not duplicated.

Thanks,

Diana
