HELP! I'm building numerous listings today and have had Internet Explorer up and working all day. I built what I call "Shells" for my listings (basic Vendio templates with basic descriptions, titles, shipping, etc.) and uploaded my photos. However, when I go to attach photos to the actual Vendio listing template, Internet Explorer FREEZES and eventually crashes and has to be closed and reopened. I have fully rebooted numerous times, cleared the cache of all old page files, etc. etc. I have Internet Explorer 7.0.6 and am running this on a Windows Vista platform. This is taking hours out of my day to keep closing and reopening -- only to have it crash again and again.
It's been a long time since I've had to post a cry for help on this platform. I hope someone is around on this holiday weekend who can help. Thanks!

Please note that I went to another computer that had Windows XP ... just in case I was having a Vista problem. No such luck. At the same point -- when I was trying to add photos to a Vendio listing -- not only did Internet Explorer freeze ... this time my entire computer froze ... crashed ... stopped working. I had to reboot. Clearly this isn't IE ... or Windows Vista ... or an uncleared cache ... or whatever. It's a Vendio issue apparently.
What I ultimately did as a workaround was add one photo at a time -- I added one photo, saved the listing, closed it, then reopened it, added another photo, saved the listing and closed it ... then reopened it, and so on. I had to do this on each listing ... adding one photo at a time (I usually use 4-6 photos per listing). It has taken me all day to create about 8 listings. Not good!
Is this if you try to hold down CTRL while selecting a number of images from the list and then clicking the 'attach' button, or if you just try to attach one image by selecting it hitting attach and then select another and hit attach?
If the latter, at what step is it actually freezing? When you click the attach button? If so, is it only when you have more than one image selected at that time, or if you just click it more than once without saving?
Sorry for the questions, I can't replicate it here on XP or Win7 - if it persists, try simply switching to Firefox to see if it does the same, to help isolate it to either the entire computer environment or just a specific application.

This is happening at any point in the attach photos phase -- it is happening BOTH when I click on a single photo and when I click on the CTRL key to attache multiple photos. However, the CTRL key mode is when it is happening pretty much ALL THE TIME ... while the single photo option is intermittent.
I have now tried this on THREE COMPUTERS and it has happened on all three. I used a desktop with Windows Vista ... a laptop with Windows XP and my desktop at my office (at my "day job" which is in a networking environment ... is a blowtorch of a PC with Windows XP (like most office environments) and it is happening on that computer as well. COMPLETE FREEZE UP OF INTERNET EXPLORER.
I do not have Firefox on any of these computers -- cannot install it at work ... cannot install on my laptop (it's too full) and have never installed on my personal desktop because I do not like Firefox -- I've had it before and I'm not crazy about the interface. Somehow I don't see this as a good workaround. There must be something wrong with the Vendio interface if this is happening on three PC's with three different operating systems and different computing environments.
It's ok if you don't want to use FireFox on an ongoing basis, just knowing if it happens on ANY browser on the effected computer or just a specific one would help troubleshoot further.
It doesn't have to be FireFox either, just anything other than Internet Explorer would help: Google Chrome (new version out now), FireFox, Safari, or even IE8 instead of 7 if that's where all of the trouble exists now.

Hi Chris - thanks for the response. The laptop I use has IE8. That's the one where not only did IE Freeze, but my entire computer froze when I tried up attach images to a listing. So, it's not IE7 that is the culprit.
Also, I have no cache issues because I use Clean Up on all my PCs regularly to clear caches -- my systems perks along pretty well when the cache is kept clean.
I really need this and my other issue to be checked out, please! I'm not a regular poster to these forums ... and I'm not a regular complainer ... I am generally a Vendio fan who has very few problems typically. But I sure would like to get in line for some assistance on this one. Thanks!
Please try it in FireFox, just to see what happens. Otherwise all I can do is log it as a bug and hope that someone in engineering can locate a computer somewhere that will replicate this behavior.
Unfortunately, thus far anyway, we have no reports coming in via the message center, email, or phone of the issue your running into and have to assume for now that it's an isolated case that exists only on your computer environment.
I know from a logical troubleshooting standpoint if you see the same thing happen on different computers you know it isn't either computer at fault, but chances are you run similar programs on your own computers and are more likely to experience the same types of problems even with different operating systems.
To confirm we have been unable to duplicate this issue even when logged into your own account, using Windows XP with FireFox 3 and IE8, as well as Windows 7 with FF3 and IE8.
Regards,
Chris
