Vendio ... in anyone working tonight?? HELP! Trying to launch auction and getting this error message:
Error 353: Java script not allowed.
Your listing cannot contain javascript (".cookie", "cookie(", "replace(", IFRAME, META, or includes), cookies or base href.
I have no Javascript or Meta tags in my copy. It is written in HTML using Microsoft Front Page. I've never seen this error message before.
I'm also getting the "Pink" splash across the top of the page about a credit card. Our credit card on file is correct -- it is our PayPal debit card and there is balance in PayPal so there should be no problem with this card. PLEASE HELP. I NEED TO LAUNCH SOME AUCTIONS AND I'VE HAVING ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER TODAY!

Please note that this has come after an entire day of wrestling with adding photos to my listings (please see my previous posting). Thank you for any help you can give on this holiday evening.
Did you find the offending word or code that was throwing eBay off with this error message?
Usually it isn't really even JavaScript, but just a series of letters or punctuation that is tripping the eBay filter.
I didn't see any items in your pending section with an error message, so if you are still seeing it please let us know which item. It's usually easy enough to just do a quick search for some of the words they mention above to see if they appear anywhere in your description text (by doing a CTRL+F on the page.)

Thanks for the reply but I'm not sure I understand. I am getting an error message from eBay saying I have Javascript or metatags in my auction listing, which I do NOT have. It's not a single word ... that I can see ... that is causing this error message. The listing is in my pending and it is --
Antique PARIAN WARE Figural LAMP Woman w/BORZOI
Can someone please look at this listing and tell me if they can see an issue? THANKS!
It looks like it was exactly as I though, just a series of words and symbols that is throwing off the eBay filter.
The problematic line is as follows:
"......the dog a cookie (see....."
The word cookie followed by the bracket looks like banned JavaScript to the eBay filter. If you change it to look like this instead the item will launch without any issue:
".....the dog a cookie - (see....."
As you can see all I did was add a dash, but it spaces the word cookie apart from the bracket which gets it past the eBay filter.
I saved your item this way so you can list it whenever your ready, or edit it however you wish prior to launch to get the same effect.

OMG! That's amazing. The actual word "cookie" is what did it. If you look at the photo of the lamp, you can see it is a figurine where the woman is actually feeding the dog a round dog biscuit -- thus my use of the word 'cookie'. Yikes. I'll edit and relaunch. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DILIGENCE IN DISCOVERING THE 'OFFENDING' WORD!
Meanwhile, regarding my other issue -- I will try to download Firefox on my bigger machine and test out the photo attaching to see what's what. Thanks for all your help!!
