Last night I launched an eBay auction with 130 "cozy mystery" paperbacks in it. It launched fine and has several bids already. But in my Vendio list it shows as a launch error in the pending list and is not listed with my current auctions.

Is there anything I should DO about this? I don't want to delete it from my listing, but it's in the wrong place!

Thanks ... Val

Me, again ... just launched another multi-book auction that errored in Vendio -- said my Item Specifics were too long. So I shortened the Specifics and relaunched the auction. Unfortunately, it had also launched to eBay the first time, although it showed as an error in Vendio. When I then launched the edited version, that showed in Vendio as launched but turned out to be a duplicate launch at eBay.

So I deleted the second copy of the auction which, unfortunately, was the one that showed in Vendio.

It looks like what is happening is that long Item Specifics in an auction are triggering an "error" response but the auction is launching anyway. I've ALWAYS had long item specifics and there's never been a problem before. Can you let me know what you find out about this? Thanks.

Hello Val,

We are aware of this problem, and it has been escalated to our engineers. Hopefully they will have it resolved soon. In the meantime, you should be able to work around the problem by previewing the listings prior to launching (it should return the error during preview) and by making sure your custom item specific details are 50 characters or less.

You should be able to import any active listings into Vendio (if they are not already showing in Vendio) under "Sales Manager" --> "Import/Track" --> "Track".

Regards,
Nathan

Thanks for the instruction, Nathan -- I was able to pull both of those auctions into my active Vendio list. I'll be more careful, until I know you've fixed this!

Best, Val
