I haven't been able to bulk upload photos for a long time. I have Windows Vista, and I've been doing the photos manually, one at a time. I'm finally ready to upgrade. What is the very newest version of SMPro (is it 7.0.5, as it was back in April?). Do I need to uninstall the old SMPro before uploading the new version? Thanks for any help you can provide. ~Adele

Hello Adele,
The most recent version of Sales Manager Pro is version 7.0.5. You would not need to uninstall the older version first. However, if your main purpose is to bulk upload images, you may do this in bulk now using XPress Publisher on a Vista machine. It won't resize the images for you, unfortunately, but you can upload them in bulk. You may download XPress Image Publisher here (just be sure to follow the Vista instructions):

Hi, Nate: Thanks for your help. We've installed 7.0.5. Now (because it's been a long year with two surgeries etc. etc.) I've forgotten how to bulk upload a file of photos I have in my Adobe editing program. Please forgive; I think anesthesia wipes out brain cells! ~Adele

Hello Adele,
Are you trying to upload your images from the offline listing program Sales Manager Pro, or are you using that program just for uploading images called XPress Publisher?
The XPress Publisher is a tool that is built into Windows XP which Microsoft unfortunately removed after XP and 'upgraded' to Vista - however on the link that Nate posted above we have some instructions listed on how to still use it with Windows Vista or Winodws 7 - though you will be using the Windows Live Photo Gallery program to upload them rather than the Web Publishing Wizard that Windows XP was able to use (which unfortunately was a lot easier and more convenient to use since it could resize at the same time.)
The main thing to remember though is that you wouldn't be uploading from within your Adobe software program - as in Windows Vista you will need to be in the Windows Live Photo gallery program to initiate the upload.

We installed the latest SMPro last night. I don't use those tables that show up in that program. We installed simply to help me upload a batch of photos at once. How do I use SMPro 7.0.5 to upload a file of photos from somewhere else, like Adobe? If I can't do that, we spent an hour last night for nothing!

Sorry again! (Dead brain cells, of course.) The photo file is in my programs, not still in Adobe.

Remember that SMPRO is an offline tool designed to build and upload auctions from your computer, where the XPress Publisher that Nate linked to above is the one designed specifically for uploading images.
If however you were using SMPRO as a way to upload images in bulk in the past you can still do so. At the bottom of the program is the image bar, just click the little thumbnail with the green star in the upper left corner of it (next to the one with the red X) - this will open the window where you can find the images you want to add to SMPRO. If you hold down your CTRL key when you click to add images you can add more than one at a time. Click OK when your done, then run a Sync to upload them into your account online.

Does XPress Publisher work for Windows 7? I just had to buy a new computer and it came with Windows 7. Thank you.

Windows 7 does not have the Photo Gallery feature. Users have to download and install it from Windows Live at this location: : http://download.live.com/. You can then follow the Vendio Vista instructions for the Xpress publisher.
