I just wanted to pass along an issue that happened with one of my items and see if you may want to re-tool your listing page. The problem was that I re-used/copied one of my past items (a video) and the one that I copied was a NEW item and was specified as such. When I edited it for the same item, this one was used and I specified it as VERY GOOD in the usual spot. But apparently, when I did that, it did not change the 2nd spot you have a little lower on the listing page. That one apparently overrides what you put in the higher up one, so it launched as a NEW item instead of VERY GOOD.

I may or may not be able to remember to change BOTH spots. Can't you either eliminate one of the spots? Or can't you make it so if you enter the condition in one spot it automatically shows up the same in the other spot? It seems logical to me. What do you think? I was lucky with the buyer in the above scenario - they wanted the video and thought it was a good price even though it was used, but things could go VERY wrong if it happens again.

Hello,

Unfortunately, these fields are eBay fields and Vendio does not have any control over which are required. As there are different options in the two different fields it is not possible to fill in the same information for one when it is entered into other.

Please note that for old items where an item condition was previously entered in item specifics, Vendio will automatically map that old value to the approximate equivalent new condition value. However, this should still be verified manually prior to relisting.

Nathan

Sorry I don't understand. Why does there have to be TWO fields for item condition? Yes, I see sometimes there are different options, such as in the old field it may only have "new" or "used" and the new field underneath, it gives other options such as "New Other" or "Pre-owned". So in this case, if I choose "used" in the first field and "pre-owned" in the 2nd field, which will show up on eBay? I'm assuming the "pre-owned" one will show up. So if that is true, then why do we need the first field? Why don't you eliminate the old field and just have the new one?

Hello,

I apologize for the confusion. There are two fields for the item condition because one is the old field and one is the new field. Many people have old items where they entered an item condition into the old field already. Eliminating that field would eliminate that data. The new field is necessary because it is required by eBay. You do not need to fill in the first field, but you do need to fill in the second as eBay requires it.

Regards,
Nathan

Why don't you TRANSFER the data that is in the old field to the new field and elimiate the old field? I had the same scenario happen AGAIN with an item I listed being used, but was stated as NEW when sold. Again, I dodged a bullet, but its only a matter of time before I receive a Negative and screw up my stars. Also, even though I have marked to receive email notification, I am only getting MY responses. I have never received YOUR responses by email.

When listing through Vendio, I've had to squint and peruse quite a bit to find ALL the spots where "condition" is required. If I list an item in two categories, there are THREE slots where I need to specify the condition. Very awkward.
