I just got a message saying that you would no longer be able to save auctions indefinitely and will now be deleted after 2 years. I have to say that this is very distressing. One of the reasons that I stay with Vendio is because I can access old auctions to save time. It was mentioned that I could save items to Inventory, but I associate that with a Vendio store and I don't see that you can easily launch to eBay from there. Is there anyway that I can maintain my past auctions or at least make it more like 7 years instead of 2? If the answer is no, then I will begin looking for another company or software that will be less expensive to maintain.

Hello,

There is no reason to associate inventory with only stores. The inventory system has always existed as a place to store anything that you may want to list over a longer period of time, and not something that you will only post once or twice and then move on from.

At this time there is no option to retain the indefinite storage of your listings going back to 2000, though we are checking with the engineers on your behalf if it's possible to assist in moving the items more than 2 years old over into inventory. When we have more information available we'll reply back to this thread.

Regards,
Chris

Saving all my old auctions is the main reason I use Vendio. The fee's keep going up and quality of service keeps going down. I am starting to question the need for vendio after using it for 11 years.

Since you made this announcement, I have been making note of how often I use an auction that is over 2 years old and its probably around 75% of the time. You mentioned you were going to find out if you could move everything over to the store inventory but haven't heard anything and its 2 days before this is going to happen. Also, I don't understand if you could do that, or if I start saving everything to inventory, I will eventually have the same amount of storage, just in a different spot, so what's the difference? Why can't you just let me have the storage where it is now? I'm really going to be upset if you guys do this.

Hello,

I am waiting for final word back from our engineers if they can assist in moving your data over to the inventory on your behalf and will let you know as soon as I have a reply.

Chris

If this goes into place I WILL be gone. You guys deleted 26,000 of my auctions a few years ago. I am still pissed about that.

Hello,

Thank you for your patience while we work to find resolutions for your unique situations.

We will hold off on archiving your listings more than two years old - until we get confirmation that all of this data will be copied for you into your inventory systems first.

As soon as more information is available we will post back to this thread to update you.

Regards,
Chris

I'm assuming you're addressing both of us? I'd like you to hold off deleting mine as well until the data can be transferred. I still don't understand why this needs to be done. You'd just be moving from one place to another.
