Why, oh why, Vendio, did I get about 10 listings removed last night because of the duplicate listing rule? All of the listings were copies of listings that launched twice - not actual "duplicate" listings. There was one that you caught last night but failed to catch about 10 others. Why? So I get the slap on the wrist by eBay because your system allowed this to happen. Not happy.
We will try and prevent you from accidentally listing duplicate listings whenever possible, but unless you list out of inventory for all of your items it is impossible for us to prevent you from doing so in all cases.
If you find the process of keeping track of what is and isn't yet listed difficult, please consider switching to the Inventory Edition of our Sales Manager where *all* listings are connected to a parent SKU - and where we would be able to more accurately keep track of what SKU's you have already active or not.
Even with that system if you have two entries in your account for the same item - you would then be able to bypass those checks and still post a duplicate in error, but the chance of duplicates is obviously much much lower overall with that system.
Alternatively you can continue to post from the SMME system and we will try and keep you from posting duplicate whenever possible, but listing out of inventory is our only sure way of being able to monitor and prevent those actions.
