Ok..I am not that computer literate, so please answer in as simple a set of terms as possible. I am using Vendio image hosting and setting up my eBay auctions with Sales Manager merchandising edition as well as my store inventory. My first picture is my gallery photo. Do I need to resize all my images to meet the new eBay requirements or only those used as the gallery image (first picture)?
I am going to need to retake over 200 photos as it is and really don't want to redo all 1500 or so.
Unfortunately, resizing and increasing picels only makes for huge, blurry pictures, thus the need to retake the 200.
Thank you,
Paula

Hello Paula,

Unfortunately, the new eBay image requirements are that all images in the listings are at least 500 pixels on the longest side. You may also locate eBay's announcement about this here:

I was just going to let the GTC listings go without revisions instead of doing all the work of retaking photos. But I found a way to change some of my photos from the photos that Picasa saved without the edits, so I figured I would give a go.

I just reedited them to comply and uploaded them with the same numbers. No problem right?

Now I see that while that changes the photos in the Vendio listing template, it does not change the gallery photos on the eBay upper left listing.
They are still the same photos that eBay compressed...or whatever it is they do for that area.
Cannot figure out how to change them...went into the revise item page and couldn't seem to get the new photos to show up to replace the old ones on eBay's photo line-up.

Is that a problem? Are they still no good or will just reloading the photos as I did make it compliant?

Hope this made sense...I am no photo shop wiz.

The item I was working on is 300903411559.

Thanks,
Susan

Hello Susan,

The images that show in the top left of the listing in the eBay preview section are set at the time the listing is launched to eBay. These images should update when you next relist the listing, however.

Nathan

Thank you, Nathan.

I notice you say relist tho...will this also true on the 30 day cycle for Good Til Closed listins?

Hello Susan,

Only on an actual relist, unfortunately. When a Good 'Til Canceled listing automatically renews the 30 day clock just starts counting again (there aren't any changes made to the listing at that time).

Nathan

I think you stated somewhere that we can see the size of our photos somewhere on Vendio. Can you tell me where I look? I see size stated for example "97K" but nothing that shows the pixel size such as 500 x 500. Please help. Thanks!

Hello,

You may turn on this column from the Image Hosting page of your Vendio account by clicking the "View Options" button. Then check the box to turn on the "Dimensions" column and click "OK".

Regards,
Nathan
