Seems to just happened but was trying to re-list a plush baby toy and the field for item condition is missing and won't let me preview because it says its missing. Noticed its missing on other items I'm trying to relist as well. Please look into this ASAP.

An update on this: it may only be effecting the plush baby toy category. I tried switching to rattles and it worked, but went back to plush baby toy and it does not show an item condition of "used" or "new" or whatever the choices are. My one item to be re-listed is the Aurora Baby bear. I will see if it will begin working before I want to list it this evening. Thanks

Still nothing. No changes. Now I have another item I want to put in that category, but will not be able to if this issue is not addressed.

So I guess part of the problem is that eBay has changed some categories and Vendio needs to update the data base so we can list in those categories. Are you aware of this? So far, maybe the baby catagories and the Care Bears for sure. Probably a lot more - just haven't come across them yet. Don't know if there's a list somewhere. I guess it was a holiday at Vendio today since there has been ZERO communication. 8-(

Hello,

Could you please let us know one of the exact category/subcategory trees where you are having this problem, so that we can take a look?

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan:

There are going to be several. As I indicated in a previous message, eBay has changed several categories. You need to find out from eBay which categories are affected, so you can do the changes on your end. That should not be something I do - that should be something that YOU do. The ones so far that are effecting me is in BABY > TOYS > PLUSH TOYS It would not come up with an in invalid category field but would not show an item condition field so therefore I could not preview through eBay and may not have been able to launch (although I switched to another category so I wouldn't have the problem). The other category is the DOLLS & BEARS > BEARS > CARE BEARS category. eBay has discontinued splitting them into Vintage and Contemporary and now will only have the one category. So one of the Care Bears I was trying to list I had to put in the TV category. I'm sure there are a lot more.

Hello,

I have asked the engineers to take a look at the problem with the missing item condition field in the Baby > Toys for Baby > Plush Baby Toys category, and we will let you know once we hear back from them.

In regards to the Dolls & Bears > Bears > Care Bears category I am not seeing it split into Vintage and Contemporary in Vendio. Where exactly are you seeing this?

Regards,
Nathan

Ok, I made a copy of one of my Care Bear items (Care Bear stocking). Please look and see it says invalid category. Then try to change the category and you will see it gives you the choice to split into vintage and contemporary. Also, I checked to see if I wanted to launch a brand new care bear listing, I am also given the choice which is an invalid category. How are you NOT seeing it?

I use Google Chrome, so that may be the problem, at least for the Care Bear problem. I do not see it split in IE. I know you don't support HTML Editor in google chrome, but I would hope that you would support the updated eBay categories!! I still didn't see the item condition field in the plush baby toys on IE either.

Hello,

There is likely some older information stuck in the browser cache of your copy of Chrome. Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies in Chrome to see if it makes a difference?

Nathan

Hi, Nathan:

I cleared the cache and nothing changed. As far as the plush baby toys situation, you saw it too and it was in both Goggle Chrome and IE. But no, I still have the choice of vintage and contemporary in the Care Bear category.

Hello,

I logged in to your account through Google Chrome, however I was not able to duplicate the problem. What version of Google Chrome are you using?

Regards,
Nathan

Which part are you trying to duplicate? And are you using one of my items to try and duplicate or trying to list a new auction? I just bought a new computer and installed Google Chrome a couple of months ago, I think, the latest version but don't know how to find out which version I'm using.

Hello,

I am creating a new item with the category tree Dolls & Bears > Bears > Care Bears. Are you only seeing the problem in Chrome when editing an existing item, or are you also seeing the problem in Chrome when creating a new item with the same category?

Regards,
Nathan

I see it when trying to edit an existing listing AND when trying create a new listing. I have one in there that's correct because I switched over to IE to use the correct category.

Hello,

In my Google Chrome it is at the top right next to the box where you type in the URL you are going to.

There is still no progress in re-instating the item condition field in category BABY > TOYS > PLUSH BABY TOYS While it does not appear to be affecting launched items, I no longer am able to use that category until this issue is fixed. I would appreciate if you could look into this.

Hello,

We have identified a few eBay categories where, upon their recent re-organization at eBay, are not picking up the correct conditional value options (which are required for many of those same categories.)

This is now one of our top active bug tickets and has been escalated to the engineering team as a high priority issue to correct.

Our apologies for not identifying this outstanding issue sooner, as well as for the delay in our response back to you on this message board.

As soon as we know more on the progress of this ticket, we'll reply back to this thread with that information.

Regards,
Chris
