I've been away from the aution scene for a while and find that there has been a lot of changes to AW. Some how when I made my first listing the description for that item got "save" and now, every time I try to make a new listing, I get the description for both new listing and that of the first listing I made.
Tends to make for a rather confusing auction listing. How do I go about correcting this problem, or better yet what did I do to cause it???

Thanks Royallc

Hi Royallc,

You are referring to your default text. In order to access your default listing text area for editing, click on the "Global preferences" link located under the "My Account" tab. The default text box will be located near the bottom of the page. Please be sure to click on the "Save Preference" button after you have made the necessary changes. Keep in mind that any item in your pending list will reflect the revised "Default text" you have stored.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks a bunch Sonya, you're right on with your fix for my problem! I had first emailed AW with my delemma because I didn't know of this message center. They said it would take up to 24 hours for a reply so, I posted here as well. They got back to me in less than an hour with the same information.

Again, thanks to both you and Joyce and AW!

Royallc

I have the same problem and have 20 items in pending and really don't understand how to do this. Will the same message come up in all of them as I change it or what should I do.

Hi metabby,

Whatever you have stored in your default listing text area will show up on all auctions you post, if you make any changes they will carry over into anything that has not yet launched.

As Sonya mentioned, you can view your default text via the My Account tab, under the Global Preferences link.

Thanks Christopher
I did the stuff and got rid of the default text. So hopefully it changed all of them that are in pending. I still can't figure out how to get to edit once I cancel a pending item. I hate to just punch buttons cause it does things I am not sure about. I think you are the one that answered me on that too. Once I cancel an item, how do I get to edit.

\Hi Christopher
I think I have it figured out. I just click on the item after it is deleted and it brings it up for me again.
Thanks for your help
