I have attempted to launch the same auction twice and I keep getting the following error. Please tell me what it means. Thanks.
Lisa
"The following message was returned from the scheduler while attempting to list your auction:
Auction Data Failure: Failed in Gallery URL
Please go back and verify the site specific information for this auction.
If this error message does not provide enough information regarding the source of the auction error, you may preview the auction insertion. Otherwise you may edit the auction information or attempt to schedule the auction again."
If you are using Auction Manager, and you would like your image to appear in the eBay Gallery, please be sure to select an image from the drop-down menu on the listing form, and click the "Attach" button. If you do not select an image from this menu, you will receive the following error when you try to launch:
Auction Data Failure: Failed in Gallery URL
If you are using our old Image Hosting system, please be sure that you are selecting the image from the drop-down menu on the listing form as you list your auction. If you do not select an image, the cleardot.gif placeholder that we use to tell eBay that there is an image in the auction will be submitted, and you will receive an email from eBay stating that the image is in the wrong format. If this has happened, you can get the correct url by opening your image hosting page, opening the full-size image by clicking on the image file name link, right-clicking on the image, and clicking "properties". The url will appear in the properties box, and you can copy and paste it into eBay's Gallery correction form.
If you are still having trouble, let me know which of your pending auctions you are referring to.
Thank you for your reply. I went and looked through the auction listing and the gallery button was chosen at $19.95!!! I almost died. I did not want that option and have no idea how it was chosen and am so glad it did not push the auction through. Thanks again for the help.
